Director of the greatest horror movie ever made IMO.
He also did a movie called Sorcerer with Roy Schneider. Portions of the movie were shot in my old neighborhood in Elizabeth. Sts. Peter & Paul church was used in a key scene and in one shot during the getaway Schneider drives past my girlfriends house.
Pretty cool to see that on the big screen at the Fox theater in Union on Route 22 by Two Guys.

IMO the most terrifying movie I ever saw. I realize that the special effects look comical by modern standards but everything about that movie: the music, the makeup, the demonic voice scared the crap out of me. I saw it in the movies and have never, and will never, watch it again.
