cause he's a democrat and democrats support antisemitic people
The problem with people like you (see your signature) is that you see the world in black and white. It is often shades of gray! I am a Dem, and by no means antisemitic! Proud's post regarding terrorists and their picketing the tree lighting was entirely appropriate. However, when the post devolved into conspiracy theories regarding 1/6/21 it became totally political and inappropriate.

You’re a simp and always have been.

Why does it bother you that people discuss pro-terrorists trying to disrupt a Tree Lighting tradition in Manhattan?

What the heck is wrong with you ?

You seem cranky.

You can troll me and mischaracterize me as much as you want. But I think you can have more fun on the CE talking about laptops and Christmas tree blowing over. Have a good day.

Happy holidays.

84 is simply a moron. I laugh at his posts and at him

Not all Dems though, there is def a fracture within Dem voters regarding this new radical antiSemetic wing of the Party led by Bowman and The Squad.

Hopefully Dem voters bounce out those racists in the next Primary.

Poor guy. I imagine they never told you your IQ in school. I think they only tell you when it’s good.

You are obviously not a beer fan. Cans are the preferred vessel these days to keep beer fresh and doesn't let light in which turns beer skunky.

Different point.

The poster once made a reference to buying individual cans of beer.

Thread is a couple years old, revived by a hobo with too much time on his hands.

FYI.
EDIT- I scrolled up to see who revived the thread from 2021. because I had that person who did it on ignore, I did not see he did it. But I saw the post of his first victim and assumed he was teh one who revived the thread.

It is interesting that when people who I do not have on ignore reply to a post I have on ignore, I see a record of that in their post. But in the thread itself, ignored peoples posts are just invisible.

***************** below kept for context.. but it is wrong-ish ****
This is the post to which you refer:
1) hopefully it doesn't fall over in a slight breeze (see: The White House tree)

2) about 10 years or so ago the tree came from the nursery around the corner from my childhood/parent's home in Hamilton!
So many of us are guilty of these "necro" threads because of the way the Rivals boards work. At the bottom of the page are "related" threads and many of them are very old but their titles seem current. So they get clicked on, read, and responded to.. often without people noticing the dates.

Then teh necro'd thread is on teh regular part of the board and pops up in people's alerts again, when their post in teh old thread got responded to.

As for this post by 'nuts.. seems okay to me. The wind thing speaks more to general incompetence and the current "competency crisis" that many of noticed and commented on. I suppose that could be political if one side is working to lower standards and job requirements everywhere. For example, what if the firm hired to erect the White House tree was some brand new creation selected because of some DEI thing? That would be a worthy, on-point, somewhat political comment. But 'nuts never said that nor did he implicate the possibility.. unlike me just now. 😜 🎅🎄

And?? What is your reference that it's bad/odd?

I forget exactly but I think he was talking about the price of a can of beer or a tall boy. That is odd to me as I have not bought beer in individual servings since middle school.

Why are you quoting me? I certainly didn't "revive" the thread. Just fell victim to not reading it was a few years old. DOH!

Um... your post revived it. I explained how it happens. You can easily see that the post above yours was years ago. Then yours was days ago. Did I get that wrong? I don't think I got that wrong.

Wait.. any chance a post was deleted above yours? Did someone else revive it with some vile BS that was deleted leaving yours as the first recent post in the thread?

This thread is reminiscent of the telephone game of my youth. It began with references to a Christmas Tree, moved on to terrorists, shifted gears to January 6th, questions of IQ and then to individual cans of beer. Amazing!

No, it did NOT "revive it." It was towards the top of this page when I responded. It was revived by @Proud NJ Sports Fan @ 9:37PM on Wednesday. GOT IT?

I just added to my message.. I suppose it is possible that a post was deleted between yours and the older 2021 post immediately above yours. That could explain it.

Revived at 9:37PM on Weds (edited my post above to included this info).
OHHH! I just saw the post after yours quoted someone I have on ignore.. Proud Sports Fan... and when I hit unignore.. HIS post appeared above yours.

My bad... I'll have to watch for that in teh future. There was no indication that there was another post.

Sorry.. I will edit by original response.

Well.. inside a thread you are reading, at the bottom of the page are a section called "similar threads". It is very easy to click on one of those thread titles and start reading and responding.. even though the thread is years old. But, yeah, this was my mistake.

I was intrigued by the hobo buying individual cans of beer comment and had to find out to whom it referred and what "political comment" spurred such slap-down. I thought I found who revived it but the post did not seem worthy of such a flaming rebuke. That the real culprit is someone I have on ignore.. well, I need not even read the comment to know it likely deserved derision.

For the record.. I have purchased MANY individual bottles of beer in Pinos cellar in Highland Park. Was a common pre-tailgate stop.

Now if you said he buys a 40oz of Colt 45 I would understand.
The days of looking down on a beer in a can are long over. Craft Beer dominates the use of cans. It's no longer a US thing. The favorable breweries in Europe are finally making the move to cans. I recently bought a Paulaner Pilsner and a St. Bernardus Christmas Ale in single cans.

Proud, are you incapable of defending your perspective? If you did not merely mock others, you would be clearly be more taken more seriously! Your Devils POSTGAME posts are fairly cogent.
Stay out of it bruh.

You don’t know the history here

Bad’Ole is a troll.

For years he claims to have me on ignore but he always reads my posts and makes reference to me.

Why are you getting involved when you don’t know what you’re talking about?

I’m no bish, when a chooch takes a shot at me I don’t back down G.

Whatever “proud”.

I was under the impression that you basically “don’t have a pot to piss in”. I could be mistaken. In any event, it’s definitely a case of “punching down” on my part (intellectually and financially), so that’s not a good look for me. I will refrain.

Happy Holidays!

Everything is in cans now - Europe, US everything. Don't see the big bomber bottles as much anymore. The Belgian breweries are still cranking those out in some cases.
