As for the letters to all govt employees ,only 4% of the federal budget lies in the personnel.In order to significantly cut spending you have to look at Defense and entitlements.Btw I know the govt is extremely bloated and inefficient and spends tons of money on non esssential programs that should be eliminated.

Having the people of Ukraines back is different from having Zalensy's back. Could this have been said privately. Maybe. Zalensky has no reason to end the war. Its his paycheck.

Exactly. Remember, the American taxpayers are not only lining Zelensky's pockets but are also paying the pensions of Ukranian officials. The war is a money train for them. The real issue here is Zelensky's refusal to commit to the fastest path to peace which is a cease fire.

Wrong argument. This is about NATO.
If China/N. Korea/Russia set up military muscle on our borders we would not tolerate it. The same is true of Ukraine joining NATO and thus having NATO military forces on Russia's border. Russia can't except that, and they need that buffer between European NATO forces and their border. The only way to a peaceful end of this war is a cease fire and the end of discussions of Ukraine joining NATO.
