Good luck to them, but OSU, MD, and Indiana are all seeded and received first rd byes...UConn looks like they were seeded "higher" as they host and would play the 16 seed Indiana if they won

wrong board
Thank you! You, sir, are a beacon of light in the darkness that is Rutgers right now. Standing on the soap box of assholishness to deflect attention away from a Rutgers athletic success story so that everything is in its rightful place and we can all return to this the misery that is the Rutgers football message board. Bravo, good sir! Bravo!

Great job. Soccer is our sport to be successful at. Basketball and Football are not in a position to compete at the highest levels yet.

Women's basketball is pretty good.

Men's are somehow still undefeated at 2-0 (baby steps)

Wrestling is kicking all kinds of arse.

We really need to get football back on track, hopefully the start to that happens next month.

So what? The 3 B1G teams performed better during the season, and post-season, and earned what they received. UConn, despite being a few spots behind us in the RPI, made it to the final and were rightfully rewarded:

RPI

OSU 11
Mary 13
Indiana 21
Rutgers 32
UConn 36

+1000!
our two soccer teams are light years ahead of football. they are both doing RU proud and there is no "wrong board" for them.

Finishing around #29 is a nice improvement over 2014. Will be a tough tourney for Rutgers, but an opening home game versus LIU Brooklyn is nice. Akron will be tough - they are ranked #4 overall. The good news is that Akron plays in a lousy conference.

I think RU would have gotten a seed if we beat Maryland at the end of the regular season and made it the B1G conference final (which would have been an easier road had we beaten Maryland).

Here is the link to the NCAA interactive bracket. It's pretty cool if you're interested. Video streams for a lot of the games (including yours) are available -- just click on the box containing the game and follow the prompts...

http://www.ncaa.com/interactive-bracket/soccer-men/d1

edit: now that I look, I'm not sure how BTN2GO will handle your game. Most of the time the streams are free from this bracket even when they are usually paid service.

dconifier, The stream works fine for me and I don't have the big 10 2 go thing. So I'm guessing it would work for anyone.

Seven saves on 12 PKs last week in the B1G semifinal shootout. Goalies were guessing right...

What was the PK score?
How many minutes left when we tied it?

Thanks!

Rutgers tied it up with 14:08 left. PK was 3-2 but Rutgers didn't need their last shot because it was already clinched.

edit: I checked the box score and corrected my guesses.

RU won 3-2 on PK's. LIU went first and RU's goalkeeper stopped their first shot. RU scored on their first PK. Both sides scored in the 2nd frame. LIU scored in the top of the 3rd, RU missed in the bottom for a 2-2 score after 3 rounds. LIU missed in the top of the 4th, RU scored to take a 3-2 lead. RU's goalkeeper stopped the next attempt for the win.

I don't know how much time was left when we tied it in regulation.

How much did the water on the field impact the PKs? That's a lot of missed PKs - if I count right, overall they made 5 and missed 4.
