I agree but I'm just surprised he would take it--------very hard job.

Perhaps being a native of Indiana had something to do with it.

I'm sure PSU put a great offer in front of him to stay.

Is it harder long term than Penn State

Yes because of the academic restrictions and while you can get grad transfers it's not automatic admittance.

Without boring everybody I'll just briefly state that unless u get admitted into one of the grad schools they won't take you. Virtually everyone else allows a grad transfer to come in and take anything he wants either undergrad or grad courses if they get accepted in a grad program.

Forget undergrad recruits------not doable-----kids lose too many credits . No one wants that.

ON HS kids-----no 2 years of foreign language don't even bring them to Admissions . You would be amazed how many kids that can affect-----and they really frown on kids who don't have 4 years of higher math .

Irish have only had 3 coaches since Digger Phelps retired in 1991 and Matt Doherty lasted just one season
