As of 9:30 am 4.5" of snow on the ground at 32F as we only got 1/2" over the last hour, due to being stuck in what looks like a subsidence lull. Might keep us from getting above 6" if this doesn't end soon.
As of 10 am, it's 32F and we have 4.6" of snow, as we only got 0.1" that last half hour being stuck that goddamn subsidence hell hole. We've probably lost 1.5" from that subsidence. About to fill in at least. We only have about 2 more hours of snow, so unless it cranks, my guess is we only get about 6".

we have had tidal flooding every day for the last 8 days now and continued to happen over the next couple days. Hard rain all night and its just starting to snow a little here but not sticking
We saw plenty of tidal flooding going from Absecon to Ventnor/Margate/AC and Brigantine yesterday. I spent a lot of time down there in the 60's and don't remember seeing anything like that back then. Of course, I was a teenager at the time and was largely unconscious to a lot of things!

You can't have that at NJ's #1 rated Beach Town, can you? New moon was Fri or Sat so not unheard of.

Some slight slush but otherwise the 1st couple blocks away from the beach are still clear. As I said, go into town and there's a difference. The usual spots are flooded.

Question: How many people does it take to clear the estate when snow does pile up?😊

at my office in western gloucester county, this thing is such a bust here that it's not even sticking in the grassy areas. Happens every single time. I don't think there is a met or model in existence that can properly forecast snow in the SW corner of the state. They never learn their lessons

Well we finally got out of that terrible subsidence band the last half hour and picked up about 0.4" to get to 5.0" as of 10:30 am. Temp 33F.

This snow looks heavy. Should’ve pull the trigger on the electric 2 stage blower. Hope my Toro can still do the job.

7 1/2" on the ruler at Ringoes/Flemington boarder. Very wet "heavy" snow. Glad the plow will come to do the driveway.

Where about? The NWS had you guys as no snow until yesterday afternoon, but had to up the Philly metro to at least a few inches based on the south shift in the storm and many models showing 6" or more for the Philly area. Sometimes they're going to just miss. Looks like you should be getting good snow now no?

Was supposed to be in today.
Team agreed yesterday to just skip.

How was it getting in?
Good day to stay home and watch NBA classics on NBATV. MAybe they are showing 76ers with Iverson in NBA Finals. I know they had Iverson, Mutombo and Hill. What was the LAST NAME of their point guard?

My toro wasn't starting. I went to Lowes to look at the 1 stage and 2 stage EGOs. COuldn't pull the trigger. The 2 stage was massive and heavy and the 1 stage supposedly only ran for .4 hours.

Luckily I only have 4 inches and it is easy to push

What's wrong with you guys? I have a commercial Toro snowblower that's a warhorse. Never drain the gas at the end of season. As a matter of fact it was never used last year so I have 2 yrs old gas in there.. Haven't changed plugs in 3 yrs, never had a tuneup . Got in 2015. It does have an electric cord so I don't pull the start cord out first time starting in November. Works like a charm. You guys with one driveway should only have to buy 1 snowblower in a lifestime.

The estate sold 2 years ago lol, we downsized. No more shoveling as I only have a 1 car pebble driveway now I do miss shoveling the few times we had it, always fun when all the neighbors are out shoveling together.

6.75" near Flemington. A rare (in recent years) back to back winter storm forecast verification for Mt Holly.

Did you see Wemby last night?
Triple Double:
27 points (10/14)
14 rebounds
10 BLOCKS!
Also 5 assists

He has a chase down block, rebound then brings the ball up the court himself.

There is no 6 around CC Philly. 6ABC showed up where I live in the 10 O'clock hour and everything is covered but I doubt that is outside what the local news said since yesterday. 1-3. They pretty much nailed it. They were under however in Jim Thorpe where they got 14.5!!

You didnt answer my question…what was the last name of the point guard on that 76ers team that lost in finals?

That guy is a freak, but watching those highlights the defense that is played is down right embarrasing.

Wemby is what Cliff would be if he was 9 inches taller, could shoot the ball and was a tad more agile

Need to go electric to balance out you guys using gas. I already had to go vegan because of you guys killing the planet and taking down trees from chicken and beef consumption

As of 11:30 am, it's 33F and snowing moderately with 5.4" OTG, so only 0.4" the last hour, as rates just haven't been great, missing out on the best bands for the last 3 hours; we had 4.0" at 8:30 am, so only 1.5" the last 3 hours while the good bands were giving people 1-2" per hour (we got 1.75"/hr before 8:30 am). Oh well. One last band to go through in the next 30 min or so and if we're lucky we'll get to 6", but not sure, although as I'm typing this the snow has gone to almost heavy for the first time in hours, so maybe.

It can be hit-or-miss for carburetor build quality on late model Toros (or any gas powered outdoor equipment anymore). Cheap made in China crapola. Old equipment made by Briggs & Stratton or Tecumseh? Rock solid and perfect rebuild candidates for years & years. New stuff by no-name manufacturers just doesn't have the QC to be reliable and parts are hard to come by if available at all.

The electric start is a game changer though! I change the oil yearly and use ethanol free fuel and it starts right away every year. 2016 Toro.

Nope...it's a Toro. I used the electric cord start this season instead of pulling the cord. Started right up lol
Same here with my Toro one stage. Bring it out in November and do just that.

I got the electric start option too in case I’m at work and my Wife or kids need it.

But I do drain it at end of the season. And have started keeping less gas on hand for all the power equipment (straight and mixed) because even with the stabilizer it doesn’t stay good.

snow has basically stopped and skies getting brighter...4 inches of pavement but that has been compacted more than once so amounts likely closer to 5.5 to 6 on the coldest surfaces. The burst near the last 90 minutes added to the accumulations after the lull

It is now almost noon. Here in Cherry Hill, it is snowing. There is white on the lawns but none on the streets. It is 34 degrees in nearby Mount Holly and the high is still forecast to be 39. The NWS is saying that 2-4 inches are "possible," "mainly before 1 p.m." In other words, the NWS's decision yesterday to switch to a snowier forecast does not seem to be working out.

With the exception of less than an inch on part of the deck, I have no snow now anywhere on the property.

Yeaaaa me.

Finally ripping here again for the last 20 minutes and by radar this might last another 15 min, so the storm's almost over. Could get another 1/2" or so from this last band and make 6". We'll see.
