Brilliantly done!!! My favorite was Howard Davis, the lightweight Gold Medalist. My dad asked him to speak at the local hospital in 1975, and he returned after the Olympics.

I'll be out most of today, so to keep the game moving, whoever reads this first, ask the next question. The answer to my question is Paul Hamm.

What former MLB RBI leader, qualified and played in The British Open. ( He ended up missing the cut by 1 stroke).

Didn't think so. I believe that Staub was Canadian so the British Open seemed possible. I don't think that he was an RBI champion either

Hmm. That's a great hint. But nothing comes to mind. It means that my next long shot of Robin Yount is out. My friend in Chicago told me that Yount beat the assistant pro at his club 66 to 68, and Yount told the pro he need not pay off on their bet since the pro comped his round. Around 1978 when Yount wasn't making big money

This player even looked into leaving baseball during his playing career while frustrated with his contract negotiations to join the PGA tour full time if he could get a sponsor to pay the expenses.

He recently was voted into the Baseball Hall of fame, but as an announcer.

I'll sleep on it. Thanks for another excellent question. I know that Yount threatened to become a professional golfer also early in his career, but he was not taken seriously

Amazing!!! Thanks skysdad! Now I can dream about something else. I had no idea that Harrelson ever came close to an RBI total. And he was a fun listen, but such a homer that I didn't realize he was in the HOF. Very well done!

Huge homer, who never tried to hide it...lol.He was the last Ford Frick award winner, so just got his HOF call this year.
