I guess maybe it's my age but I haven't been to a concert since 2011 and I really don't have much of a desire to go to one, especially paying $400/$600 for a ticket. The last show I saw was a Midnight Ramble at Levon Helm Studios in Woodstock. It was about six months before he passed away.
We were pretty amazed at the number of folks in attendance who were in the 55 to 75 year-old range. And, apparently, "they" can still drive at night. LOL.

As for ticket pricing, yeah, kinda steep on the resale side. We got in queue online when tickets first went on sale for G'boro and got a pair for $205 with tax, fees, etc included.

All things considered, that'll likely be our last visit with The Boss. But... you never know.

Ours were around $250 with taxes and fees for the 3rd row on the upper level on the left corner of the stage.

We got ours at the beginning of the dynamic price surge because when the queue opened the page never auto-refreshed like it said it was and by the time I manually refreshed there were about 2k people ahead of me.

Another view of Jungleland from last night. The look on Bruce's face after Jake nails his solo is priceless.

Jungleland is my fav BS song by far.
Glad it was in the show - its a song BS can struggle with a bit at 75ish
Pretty cool a Clemons relative can step-in for sax.
NY/NJ are crowds seem more animated.
Its curious that BS says 2/3 of his base audience is in Europe (I imagine rap is the reason for difference)
I saw a BS interview today and he said "I'm like Barney for adults."

The band, particularly Steven Van Zandt, were vocal that Greensboro set a standard. But a lot of chatter about MSG being a high energy show. Have seen various shows at MSG, and there is something about MSG that brings out the best in many artists. World class venue, and spectacularly well run. Little things they do there make a big difference in the experience. The acoustics (IMO) are good too.

Acoustics at MSG are known to be pretty good (the ceiling design has special, attributes).
I believe they worked on acoustics a decade or two ago.
I think the NYC crowd is also full of industry people, performers, business people etc so that's maybe inspiring.
I saw clip of Paul McCartney and Goodell in audience and I'm sure there were a lot more VIPs.
Don't think crowd would be the same in Syracuse (were I saw Bruce a long time ago)

The Curt cancelling hacked tickets
More big artists should do this
Swift has been pretty robust about fighting labels she feels ripped-off by but fans - forget about it it.

Now Bruce I realized is sitting on a billion if he does his own clothing lines
Springsteen jeans and jackets would torch the usual brands
Fans in Europe (where Springsteen says 2/3rds of his fan base is) like to copy Springsteen dress US (jeans were long popular in Europe)
Alas Bruce isn't a fashion poof kind of guy
Compared to most rockers BS runs a man band.

Patti was in the band BEFORE Bruce even married his first wife. I’ve never understood rhe people who think she didn’t earn her way in.

I have no strong feelings either way. On one hand her vocals add a lot on songs from the Tunnel of Love. On the other hand, there are no songs from that album on the setlist, and the band seems more fluid and looser without her.

The band sounds okay without her constant G-chord?

I'm indifferent to her presence because I tend to not like the songs in which she has a prominent role. In my perfect Springsteen set list all of the selections are drawn from his first 5 albums plus a handful of later tunes and nothing from ToL.

I missed the ToL tour, and I regret it. The construction and lyrical content of that album are superb, IMO. On some days, I could put ToL as his 3rd best album, but on most it's 4th.

Went last night to UBS arena. Fabulous arena and outstanding show. Show lasted close to 3 hours. Bruce was in great form. High energy performance.

Man is Jake channeling his Uncle Clarence on saxophone. The interaction between Bruce and Jake is fantastic. The solo at the end of Prove It All Night!!!!🔥

While not a favorite, Pay Me My Money Down was rollicking. On one of the forums, Pink Shirt Girl has become a bit of celebrity fan (lower right in crowd). 🤣

Dancing in the Dark featuring . . . .

Thanks for these.

I was at UBS last night, too. Beautiful venue, getting there and the parking deck is a nightmare.

Tour debut of Mary's Place. Also added Bobby Jean to the encore so we got an extra song like at MSG with Jungleland. I bet Friday will have some surprises for sure. Going to Metlife in the summer.

"Half" is undoubtedly a dramatic overstatement.
I remember seeing him at the Spectrum, think it was 2009, he went into one of his lefty PSAs. The “moan” throughout the crowd was loud and clear. So I disagree. They didn’t leave for the bathroom or beer run like they did Outlaw Pete but the displeasure was evident

Aww... I'm sorry. You shouldn't have to be triggered by a guy who plays the guitar for a living.

Moose- kindly stay out of this topic. You have posted several times trying to stir the pot. Not a single mention of anything political last night. The overriding theme of the show is making the most of your life on earth while you are here. Being a good person, being part of a community and helping others. Bruce is obviously feeling his own mortality at 73 after seeing many of his friends pass away. He ends the show with "The E Street Band loves you." Who could get riled up by any of that.

We did the Clark Griswold Wally World thing. We parked way down the road at a shopping center and hoofed it to the UBS. Worked like a charm getting there and out. I had read about all of the parking debacles with other shows and Islander games.

Setlist is fairly static for Springsteen shows. With little variability and higher cost of tickets, I will probably be good for one show. Maybe will try for a stadium show if the setlists evolve.

He is going with a theme traversing his entire career. Interesting that the shows take nothing from the Tunnel of Love or Greetings from Asbury Park NJ. Current tour statistics from albums:

Oh no - now he's calling for "extermination of any political opposition:

“Gen Z, Gen Y, Gen X, will unite to exterminate these cockroaches once and for all."

This is how you get violent gangs planted outside SCOTUS justice's homes with assassination plans.

I never cared about Bruce's politics but these wolves in sheep's clothing calling for violence is not something that should be allowed (especially for a band charging the little people right off the tour)

Indeed, the setlist has been pretty static thus far. However, there's usually two or three songs that differ from show to show, which is more than a lot of bands can say.

Predictions for Friday night? I'd like to hear 'em.

I think we get Jersey Girl, From Small Things (Big Things One Day Come), or Rockin All Over the World (John Fogerty cover).

It's the band's last concert in the states before heading overseas to Spain. That's the reason I'm predicting the Fogerty tune.

No, there is a show in Newark on April 14. That's it. IMO, highly doubt any of those get played, but I know nothing. Thinking something from The Rising or Letter to You. House of 1000 Guitars? Waiting on a Sunny Day or Further on up the Road? Jungleland again would be cool. Think Newark will get Jersey Girl.

I think you are confused. I'm referring to the Friday show at The Rock.
