OT: Stagolee - badass band from Starkville

They are up for "Artist of the Month" in Deli Magazine, a website and magazine focused mainly on the rock scene here in Nashville. Voting ends Thursday and they're currently down about 45 votes. For those that have seen Stagolee know how good they are. If you haven't seen them before, make plans to do so this Saturday night after the game - they'll be at Dave's Darkhorse Tavern.

Anyways, please help out these guys and go vote for em. They're good Bulldawgs and awesome muscians.

No. It's a knock off of the traditional blues song, Stagger Lee, though. Jimmy K, the lead guitarist, is from Winona (or thereabouts) & the Blues are a big influence on the band. Katie Robertson has the voice of an angel (also an MSU grad). They play mostly all original tunes written by Jim & Katie - and pretty much every song has a great melody & awesome lyrics. Again, I'd recommend anyone that's going to be in town this weekend for the game go check em out Saturday night. Just to give an update as well - they're now trailing this other band who I believe is from Vermont or some ****. Y'all don't let those Yankee 17ers win this thing. Come on, sixpack! Another buddy of mine is having the same issue. Not sure what the deal is with that. They're now up about 15 votes, so go sixpackspeak go! If you wouldn't mind trying back in a little while, that'd be awesome of you - maybe it'll work next time.....who knows.

Not only can I not vote, I can't even get to the site. However, I did listen to them, and they are pretty good so far. I usually give a band about 30 seconds to get my attention, and they passed that, so we'll see what the next few songs sound like.
