He offered checks to offset the tariffs. The tariffs will be reduced or go away depending on the response we get, and need. During Covid they were throwing trillions around like billions. One time checks <> trillions in 'infrastructure' spending, or whatever else they called it. For the record, I don't care about tariff checks. I would rather he apply it to the deficit, but it's not printed money in the same sense. It is money coming in from foreign policy.

SS eligibility needs to start at 70, and disability needs to be looked at hard. All benies. You don't work 40, you better have a very good reason.
SS should be at 70. I agree.

Also, we should be allowed to NOT contribute to SS if we don't want to do that. Just like we should be able to pick, within reason, where our taxes go.

While I agree, SS would completely go under if it was optional.

Personally, I would continue to contribute towards SS and not receive any SS benefit IF my kids were allowed to opt out of having to pay into SS.
