On the bottom of my board, looks like CMG came up a little short on rev's, though EPS beat slightly.

Down 3.8% in early trading.

Though as I was reminded yesterday sometimes pre market can be deceiving as I had AGYS up nicely in early market(and late market on Monday eve) before tanking when the market officially opened.

So we shall see how the day plays out.

Been hoping for a CMG dip for a while. Need to look at the report and watch the CNBC interviews with the new CEO. I think it's still a buy.

SMCI down 30%. I think the big news is E&Y resigned as their accounting firm (Edit* Auditor). Which in addition to that whole fraud thing from a couple months ago, has dumped the stock even further.

Looks like they are reporting this afternoon?

Buy the dip? :)
Probably better to see this report first.

Still eyeing BA and NKE for "picking up the trash" plays. Those 2 companies are going nowhere.

EY resigning makes me think shorting the stock is the better call.

Missed that one, but now up 30% on SNAP. SOFI looking better today.
Rev's were jumping from 2019 to 2022. Then went flat yoy into 2023. Now looking at solid double digit/low teens growth.
Currently fairly cheap on that metric at around 4x.

already FCF positive, EPS still cloudy.

Big buy if this is mostly a supply issue (quick glance this looks to be the case). Gotta go to the office today, so I will have to research it tonight.
Looks like Lilly was hit with the cheaper off-market GLP-1 med competition. Once they can make enough, the competition has to stop selling. Novo in the same boat with Ozempic/Wegovy. Could be a buy at this price point. P/E still high, but lowest since August. Thoughts?

SOFI looking better today.
Making up for most of their losses from yesterday, getting them back near their 52 week highs.

I'm also seeing VLY and the former NYCB, now known as FLG, up. I think rates are down, so that is probably involved in SOFI being up, but I think most of yesterdays downward move was profit taking.

Just looking at Sofi's headline earnings, EPS now above water for 4 straight qtr's, FCF below water for the qtr(interested as to the "why?" here), but Rev's with a big bump yoy. 25ish%.

So kind of pricey at a big up 2x price to book, but with that growth it's probably justified.

You have been a vocal critic of short selling. I think you need to recognize the importance of short selling. It was the Hindenburg report that triggered all these events. Short selling although may seem malicious has a very important role to play in market balance.

I would be more supported of such reports if the organizations didn't have incentive to publicly trash a stock for financial gain. Absolutely no different than pump and dump schemes. Hindenburg has a long history of mixed results (to be polite). However, they may be right in this case. Let's see the earnings report.

No one does anything in Wall Street unless there is an opportunity to make money. That is capitalism. If I do research and investigate a company for wrongdoing and I find something, why shouldn’t I be given the chance to make money off it? I don’t work for the government!!!

Sounds like it. There was a short report a month or so ago.

And the auditor bailing is affirmation of that report. Terrible sign.

Gotta take advantage of stupid people! MSFT will probably finish tomorrow up.
I sold most of my MSFT and META, only the IRA, non taxable accounts, before earnings but then just brought some this morning. 70-80% of the time stocks go down after earnings. Will buy back both as they go down further.

Tom Lee covered this in a recent video. So far 75% of companies are beating (earnings) and about 75% of these stocks move higher the next day. Something like that. However, this varies from quarter to quarter.

I can't find a market wide %.

But Market Chameleon will give you a stock by stock post earnings performance for the last 12 qtrs.

UBER(which is down a bunch this morning on earnings) was higher in 8 of the last 12.

NVDA higher 8 of 12.

AAPLE higher 8 of 12.

AMZN higher 6-12.

MSFT 6-12.

META 6-12.

TSLA higher 7-12.

GOOGLE higher 7-12.

Outstanding quarter for UBER this morning! 20% growth and trucking forward. Great leadership at that company.

Down a bunch, but still at a decent level.

A slight miss on bookings seems to be what the market is focused on?
