Your upset over this 4% move? 2% of which was already given back.Hired an advisor last week. First thing he said was too much Amazon. Made me sell 40%. Will have to call him in the morning

Do you mean the stock price will go up? Because MSFT def did beat the expectations this qtr.The fact that Amazon didn’t go up the last earning date meant it was going to beat this earning period. Microsoft didn’t do so well this quarter so I expect it to beat next qtr. this is generally true.
Expect AAPL to go higher next quarter after earning.
Msft dropped after the earning. It’s how they react after earnings. Why do you think Amazon went up after earnings and Microsoft went down? Probably reduced their forecast which make it‘s easier to make the next quarter. It just my opinion.Do you mean the stock price will go up? Because MSFT def did beat the expectations this qtr.
Also MSFT was up about 15% from it's March lows going into earnings, while AMZN was up about 20%. MSFT did dip afterwards but is still up about 10% from early March. AMZN is up around 14ish% during that time. It's not like AMZN is crushing MSFT over this stretch.
MSFT earnings were amazing this quarter. All of the big 5 techs crushed it. FMV increased for all of them.Do you mean the stock price will go up? Because MSFT def did beat the expectations this qtr.

Ya, these guys are definitely in a growing into the lofty valuations phase. If they continue to remain flat while continuing to crush earnings, they will eventually start to look cheap and get running again.MSFT earnings were amazing this quarter. ETH playing with the $3k level tonight, perhaps it will break the threshold tonight. Thoughts on once it does? Pulled back to $2.5k'ish and consolidate for a while? Looking for opportunities to buy more on a legit dip.never been a buffet fan. I'll be honest, anyone in the mkts since the 50s with a moderately conservative view should be a billionaire investor...lol

BOOM! ETH breaks the $3,000 level.I've been taking profits and will reload on the 25-30% dip
And ETHE up 16% today. Interestingly GOLD is up 4.6%. While GBTC is up 2.5%.BOOM! ETH breaks the $3,000 level.
So you are thinking it won't stay in the range it has been since Sept, and that a breakout through the all time highs is imminent?Starting to buy AMZN @ 3,400 slowly. Sold at 3,600 previously. Brought AMGN and MRK when they went down big a couple of days ago adding to my PFE. Buy low sell high.
This keep me busy during the day.
No, I think AMZN is still going down, but I will continue to add in increments might go as low as 3,100-3,200 but then breakout closer to earning season July. What’s the saying “sell in May go away”. I brought my exposure down to 23% from 65% and most are safe dividend stocks that are also down already. I’ll wait for the 10% drop in the FAANG stocks to buy more. I always try to buy and sell in increments since no one knows the top and bottom. So you are thinking it won't stay in the range it has been since Sept, and that a breakout through the all time highs is imminent?
You =I might not beat the S&P but I’m now very cautious with how high the market is and in the past has avoided the crashes. I’m a retiree that has too watch his pennies and can’t invest 100% into the market like when I was younger.
I know there were some recent threads out there, but I looked and could not find them.
So I'm starting one up fresh.
Gnus keeps rolling up 1.42(about 15ish%) in extended hours.
Dow has swung back lower, currently -150.
Yeah, this is what I've been doing lately.
Speculative Stock Vaxart, study showed their oral Covid vaccine is effective. 30 percent rise in the past week.8.89 per share today. Symbol VXRTI know there were some recent threads out there, but I looked and could not find them.

Big Bear appears to be right. Put in my limit orders for AMZN, FB, and AAPL and if they hit great. I hope the market corrects at least 7% so I can feel confidence in buying more stocks. You =

HA! HA! Haven't posted this in a while. All-in, full steam ahead. The economy is booming, COVID cases dropping, nation is opening up, market will go up. Increased my allocation of value funds/etfs a bit. Trying to catch the full bull market as it broadens out. PRSVX, TRMCX, VTV.
See my sig below regarding your fear.....
Is that a picture of Chicken Little, or a high flyer speculative tech investor that has his head in the sand? We continue to see a rotation that many are missing because they continue to look in the rear view mirror at their gains in 2020.You =

The Chicken Littles seem to be winning today. However, as always, this is temporary. Don't be scared, keep buying and holding! Great conditions for a continuing bull market:
Don't miss out on these artificial buying opportunities. You don't want to be upgraded from a Little Bear to a Chicken Little! LOL.added to my AAPL position a few minutes ago; so I think there will be some opportunities. Very possible that there will be further weakness, so not moving too many chips in at this point.
Yea, I added more shares of AMZN, AAPL and started buying a little of PYPL. FB got to go down to 296 or even 280 for me to start buying, msft at 230.added to my AAPL position a few minutes ago; so I think there will be some opportunities. Stocks don’t go straight up. They need to retreat before other investors come in to buy and go higher. Brought some QQQ today But still want the market to go down so I can buy moreBad decision. FMV for FB = $390
Don't miss out like you did last March/April. Just some friendly advice!Stocks don’t go straight up. They need to retreat before other investors come in to buy and go higher.
Can you please explain the advantages vs disadvantages of ETF's vs. Mutual Funds. It seems like ETF's are higher risk and lower reward...???I know there were some recent threads out there, but I looked and could not find them.
So I'm starting one up fresh.
I learned one advantage of ETF vs Mutual funds in the 2008 crash. I had a small portion of my investment in a mutual fund and I wanted to sell it in the morning. Mutual funds settle at the end of the day so I saw an additional drop in price of 30% from the morning price. ETF are processed at the time that you sell it. I only buy ETF now but I’m sure there are advantages for mutual funds. You also have time requirement to hold mutual funds like 3-6 months before you can sell them. Can you please explain the advantages vs disadvantages of ETF's vs. Mutual Funds. It seems like ETF's are higher risk and lower reward...???
I'm also looking at Indexed mutual funds. Can you suggest a few or point me where I can find a listing of all Mutual Funds....with no load, costs / commissions spelled out?
Thanks

The advantage of mutual funds is that more of them are managed. ETFs are mostly passive. It takes some time to research funds, but there are plenty of great ones out there.I learned one advantage of ETF vs Mutual funds in the 2008 crash. You have it backwards. Index funds are lower risk and equal if not better returns over the long hold period. Can you please explain the advantages vs disadvantages of ETF's vs. Mutual Funds. It seems like ETF's are higher risk and lower reward...???
