Would you rather I link the article about sales in China fell sharply?
Link anything you want. A dip in China sales just means more exports to Europe. You've probably figured out by now that Tesla does not have a demand problem. Short term hiccups are not going to change how I feel about the future of Tesla. I'm sure the kook with the breaks had an effect on potential Chinese customers. The story was all over social media over there. She's been exposed though.
And any rough waters that the CCP and Tesla are going through will work itself out. Something tells me a lot of it has been exaggerated by media anyway.

*Edit* Looks like model Y production lines were down for 2 weeks. China media reports upgrades to production equipment (No sources cited). Also looks like those production #'s include exports. Again, nothing official. We'll see.

I appreciate the conviction. Good luck.

Thanks. See my edit above.
And, I told you the early part of this year was going to be a little dicey. New S and X delayed. Retooling production lines. Supply chain issues. Listen to the Tesla whisperer.

There is 1 thing that concerns me above all others. 4680 battery cells. All other "news" is irrelevant IMO.

The China problem was weeks/months in the making. Tunnel-vision will cost investors a lot of money. My biggest decision of the day is whether I nibble on some spec tech at today’s yard sale, or wait and see how bad it gets. Whereas, the usual suspects are trying to decide whether to keep digging their DCA hole after buying spec tech stocks at all-time highs.

I completely agree with your comment regarding the fallacy on blind DCA on individual stocks or actively managed funds / ETFs. Such activity is the opposite of intelligent investing if the purchase decision relies solely on a price decline without a comparison of the subsequent stock price to intrinsic value.

Exactly - I learned my lesson the hard way 15 years ago with a spec biotech play. DCA is great when you buy a stock with solid fundamentals and that stock retreats due to factors unrelated to the company’s health/performance. Not every stock is on sale just because it suffers a price drop.

Took profits on RBLX this afternoon. Very small position and obviously a bad overall day for my portfolio. I'm just trying to get back what my daughter wasted on their site over the last 12 months. That would make me happy.

I’ll give you credit that you did call the sell off in Tesla. Although I thought you were kidding at the time. I think there are more clear issues but I don’t follow it that closely. I do know that I missed the boat and can’t justify the current valuation. I actually just hired a money manager because it did feel too much like the casinos. The only thing I told them was no Tesla. LOL

Palantir is getting obliterated. Down 11% this morning. I bought and sold it between $20-$24 now I’m wondering where’s the floor. May be worth a look. AirBnb is my fav of the recent IPOs but I’ve been waiting for the June lock-up expiration before jumping in. ARKK is toast today - under $100. Now it’s getting interesting but I can’t help but feel like there is more pain ahead. The power of the media may hurt CW now that she is on full display.
PLTR up almost 10% today, huge revenue news:

Still trying to figure this one out.

PLTR = Guess who struck again - CW apparently bought 1.3 million shares. There’s your bounce. The numbers did not justify a 20 point swing from pre-market to EOD. I’d be surprised if it’s not down below $20 by Friday.
And this was the first time she bought more PLTR stock in the past couple weeks?

Seriously the anti TSLA, anti CW folks need to get over it. Talk about something else for a little while.

The hate has turned stupid. It's just annoying now. Doesn't even make sense. PLTR crushed revenue this quarter and today's volume was 53 million. But CW's 1 million raised it by 10%. LOL!

But as I said before, I'm still not sure about PLTR. Great product, not sure it is a great business yet.

You don’t make sense and idiots like you hear that CW bought PLTR and then pile in. You are a sheep. I’m amazed you’ve apparently made money investing because you are clueless. Let’s see where PLTR is next week. I actually like the stock but “crushed” revenue is a joke.

Hey bozo - did you happen to see the stock spiked at the point in the conference call when PLTR started talking about its BTC strategy? Do yourself a favor - go hire an advisor to handle your investments before you lose your shirt.

I had mentioned a while ago that the target price for PLTR would be $15-20 range. I love being right. Hope you guys loaded up. I may not be smart enough to come up with a concept like Twitter, Facebook, Palantir, etc, but I know my math.

A wise man once said, "bees don't waste their time explaining to flies that honey is better than ****." If you weren’t so arrogant and actually listened to folks on this board you would have avoided some obvious losses. But, keep making brilliant stock moves like TSLA at $900 and ARKK at $160. It will only take you a couple years to get back to those levels.

Yeah, I suspect PLTR will be back under $20 soon. I was looking to buy around $15 but I missed the pre-market plunge. It’s on my buy list during one of the next corrections. AirBnb is another one although I haven’t done enough research yet.

IMHO, there is an impending correction coming in the broad market and you may see PLTR approach the $15 level again. I would start nibbling at any level under $20 and then keep buying.

I was thinking that this morning deciding whether to buy now. The DJI not even down 3-4% yet. Don’t want to move too quickly.

Totally agree - there will be some great opportunities in the next 12 months.

I never watch the financial channels anymore but flipped on bloomberg (and yahoo finance) to see what they said about inflation. They are full time apologist for the fed. It's crazy. Yahoo even ran a commercial with the fed regional presidents treating them like celebrities. WTF.

I wonder what’s going to happen when the renters and mortgage relief/ forgiven is ended? Will the lenders/owners be able to survive and will renters be evicted?

Careful, the bounce back up is going to be rapid, especially since many of the big names are crushing performance and earnings. The market only can be wrong about these companies for so long (paraphrased from Buffet).

The fed is right about this temp inflation caused by the base effect, Well done by Bloomberg.

I’ve heard from insiders that it’s a serious problem that isn’t getting nearly enough attention.

The relief will become permanent as will the eviction moratorium, so this will be moot FWIW. Both renters and owners will be fully bailed out by the feds.

Down 6% today. Back below $19. I've built up some cash reserves. Thinking about it.

The semi's continue to pull back which is a stinger.

Kind of odd given as a group they are not that expensive in terms of past looking metrics, AND they expect to have huge growth.

I'm fairly heavy here, somewhat tempted to sell, and then wait, but I do think this is still a great sector long term.
