WOLF has a bit over $2B in cash on hand, but $6B in debt, with operating and construction costs of a $1B-plus for the new NY plant and a $5B-plus for the build of the JP facility in NC. Have to think they'll get some CHIPs Act $$$, but having to recast its application as WOLF is not categorized at a silicon chip manufacturer but is a silicon carbide-based manufacturer. That said, they are certainly a next-gen part of the nation's strategic supply chain. So CHIPs $$$ would be viable. Much foreign interest waiting in the wings, as leverage, or a validation of WOLF's technology.
Up 10% today.

Still need to see it break that down trend.

Whats the annual revs?

MSFT up 7.5% on the week. Another 7.5% gain would put it near ATH level…so should people sell? I don’t know but I do know it is a stonk.

I have sold some as MSFT moved upward but still have most expecting close to ATH right before earnings date Oct 22. Same with META and GOOG. It can be considered a long term hold.

Seems like a good idea. I still own this dog. By the way, GEV may be a new meme stock! Up to $230.
A former co-worker left for GEV about 9 months ago. I remember looking at the company and thinking the electrification piece was interesting. I should have jumped on it!

Anyone have a fresh/good “electrification” play to consider? I hate buying stocks like GEV and PEG after run ups.

Thoughts on TLT? Its off its bottom but not by much. If a rate cutting cycle is about to begin shouldn’t this be a good time to jump in? Im a little surprised it isn’t front running the move more.

I believe it is up fairly significantly the last 3 months already in anticipation of the cuts. Isn't it?

TMF is the better play! Screw the dividend.

What is your objective with TLT in terms of fixed income asset allocation?

It is, but relative to where it was 2 years ago it’s pretty muted.

Of course that was when rates were zero.

I dunno. Just a thought.

Edit: I guess these track the bond market not the actual fed funds rate, and thus the move is in?

I also think bond market may be expecting more cuts then we will actually see.

I've had TLT and TMF on my watchlist for quite a while, but I just missed the move. At least, the move to date. FYI, Stephanie Link buying XOM and CMG.

I bought a little CMG as well.

WTI has rebounded off the $65 mark. Back up over $70. Still wary of equities but i do still own DVN and SLB.

Sankey(big oil guy) was on fast money recently. Think he said if there was a buy in oil XOM is it.

How will the interest rate cut play out market up or down.

Does a half point cut help or hurt if it happens?

Some are calling for .50%, but I think the market will response best with .25% and slow/steady cutting. And when I mean response, I mean over the next several weeks.

Wow, I didn't expect that. I know the market was 2/3 predicting 50bps, but I thought the slow and steady approach would be more Powell's style. I guess this is an indirect signal that they admitted July should have been the first cut (which I agreed with).
Not surprised the market likes the call though. The idea that it would spook the market sounded fugazi.

Also not surprisingly the RUT leading the way early at +1.5%

+1 - has nothing to do with panic or predicting doom.
As mentioned above, to me, it says Powell believes he should have started the cutting cycle in July, which seemed like a very close call. Powell/Fed doesn't want to play catch-up anymore and that is a very good thing.

The trading algorithms are comical. Had no idea what to do this afternoon. Probably best to ban the use of them. Make humans make human decisions. LOL!
