My eyes see that we have reached fairly strong resistance for both stocks. CAVA may top around $128-129 and PLTR around $42-43.
I’m looking to CMG’s meteoric performance over the past few years and bought Cava, SweetGreens, and more Chipotle. There seems to be an entire generation that’s not interested in fine dining or fast food. So these fast casual stocks sit right in the sweet spot. At least that’s my theory. I also like(d) ShakeShack but lost money on it years ago mainly due to lack of patience and missed the big run. Although I do think the burger market is more challenging than Mediterranean and salad niches.

Its refreshing to see a poster post his losses as honestly as his gains. Sorry for your losses but thanks for keeping it real.

Crazy question. Is PYPL a buy? Looks like a turnaround is happening.
Another stock I lost money on a few years ago. I simply don’t understand how PayPal survives long-term with all the payment processors and solutions, including Apple’s Tap to Cash and Apple Cash features which I thought they launched to crush Venmo.

Not to mention isn’t crypto supposed to put all these guys out of business one day?

IDK what I’m missing because I’ve seen PayPal run and can’t understand why.

Good video on PYPL and the other players in the space:

Anyone have thoughts on MTN? Since I blew my proposed Generac trade I wanted to execute 3 weeks ago (ugh) I’m looking at MTN as another seasonal play - down big on the year plus offers 5% dividend. Economy good who doesn’t want to go skiing especially in Vail!

Is Vail on the Epic? I bought mine already.

CRM up 45 points 291 , 19% for the last month still 10% from its high. Sold about 1/3 still have quite a bit. Buy these great stocks whenever they fall.

Same with MSFT, sold close to high of $450-460, brought back around $401-409 and expect close to high by earning date 10/22/224. If I see it moving upward, continue to buy. GOOG I hope will do the same.

I hope we get the 4.3% gain at the end of the year as many predict S&P 6000.

Wedbush analyst Daniel Ives recently raised the price target on Palantir Technologies Inc. (NYSE:PLTR) stock to $45 from $38. I started to buy PLTR base on this board at $32 and been increasing quantity.

Very nice rally since the earnings report drop. Gotta stick with these names and buy the dips!

China down today on “dissapointing” stimulus.

i added.
FYI - now up over 100% with ZETA. :)
Performance still seems bullish, but that's a big move in a short time.

As for China - yikes, just noticed how big the drop was. Probably too much ice cream too quickly. I will read up on this tonight.

Exactly, buy on the dips. Sell high and buy low. Been doing it for the last 15 years but you didn’t like it. I think Buffett said something like that.

Buffett also said that, for people investing for the long term, most would do better to put their money in a good low cost s&p 500 index fund than anything else. 🙂

Mentioned on this weeks WAYT, but a Venmo Apple deal (of some sort) may be on the horizon.

And while PYPL to me seems like old tech, Venmo is a new tech, and that has room to grow. Also mentioned on WAYT is the fact that Venmo is not yet int'l.

Nice moves from some Cybersecurity plays the last couple days. PANW pretty good, S looking very good. CRWD with a more muted move.

Even ZS is creeping back. Still underwater on that one, but added after the big dip.

On the flip of that is using AMZN pay on non AMZN online retailer sites. Makes life so much easier. I use it at work a bunch where I have all my companies paying info built into AMZN. So I don't need to hunt people down when going AMZN but they have the AMZN pay option.

I feel at this point these online retailers need to be linked to one of the big paying options. Don't make me type in my CC info. Don't make me type in my mailing address. Click the item, click the payment option, maybe type in a password, but simpler the better.

You know PayPal owns Venmo, right?

Jeesus PLTR.

I'm seeing 37x rev's.

Thinking of buying some puts. I think we are approaching blowoff top territory.

Love PLTR, but I understand that logic. It's going insane. A sizeable pullback would be healthy and still bullish.

Jobless #'s come in hot. 258K vs 230K.

But with the fed having cuts in their pocket, the market taking it in stride early.

Nov = 50bps! :)

Funny to see the whiplash in the financial media. Every strong data point they scream no more cuts. Every weak data point and the Fed is behind on cuts.

Bought PYPL today, in honor of Downtown JB.
And rather quietly, already up 20% on SNAP. :)

The Elon show begins in about an hour.
I don't have X. Will have to wait till it get's on youtube.

Nice work on SNAP. Are you playing as anything more then a trade?

If it's only on X, then I will have to wait as well.
As for SNAP, if it really shoots up I may sell and then try to buy the next dip. However, I am viewing the position as a dark horse turnaround play. So maybe a legit hold. I assume/hope/pray that they will figure out how to better monetize the platform. My little one and all her damn friends live on SNAP.
