Happy to say not only long PLTR from the $20’s but added more at $65. Something about Karp keeps me interested for the long term. He might be creating the successor to Microsoft.

I jumped in around $68 as soon as I saw Karp and Trump arm-in-arm. I plan to hold for a while.

SPOT crushing it - seems like the NFLX of music only with less competition.

FYI - I bought SOUN in extended yesterday at $14.5. Up about 10% today probably due to PLTR.
SOUN at these levels is a bit risky, so any bad news and it will be time to sell. BBAI in a similar position, but the new CEO is a Trumpie so I may have a slightly longer leash here.

IMHO, C3.ai (AI) will be the next big artificial intelligence software name to buy. Could it be the PLTR of 2025... only time will tell.

Good to know. I was looking at AI and BBAI as well. Shares or calls?

Thanks for the thoughts on SOUN. They have a great AI story with their voice technology, but obviously the market cap is a little stretched.

Im not aware of this. Will have to look into it
Yeah, check out the Coinbase derivatives. It included gold, silver, and oil. GLD has a large amount of volume. GLD is 19x leverage. So you only have to pay about $140 to get exposure to a full oz of gold ($2850).

Got stopped out of PYPL this morning. Closed the position slightly positive, so can jump back in as needed. It's down 12%, but the quarter didn't seem that bad.

Any thoughts on TTD? Big run, but have pulled back 15-20%.
@RU-05 - TTD is one of the stocks JB always raves about.

I added to CAVA down at $114 and expect big things moving forward for a good growth opportunity away from tech or energy.

Looks like AMD had a good quarter, but currently down 4%.

Data Center sales (up 69%) but fell short of estimates.

Advanced Micro Devices reported fourth-quarter results on Tuesday that beat Wall Street expectations for sales and earnings, but the stock fell about 4% in extended trading as the company missed estimates in its key data center segment.

Here’s how the chipmaker did, versus LSEG consensus estimates for the quarter ended Dec. 28:

  • Earnings per share: $1.09, adjusted, versus $1.08 expected
  • Revenue: $7.66 billion versus $7.53 billion

AMD said it expects $7.1 billion in sales in the first quarter, plus or minus $300 million. It projected its gross margin to be about 54%. Analysts expected AMD to guide for revenue of $7 billion

AMD reported $482 million in net income, or 29 cents per share, for the fourth quarter, down from $667 million, or 41 cents per share in the year-ago period.

The company’s most important unit is its business selling chips for data centers, which has been growing in recent quarters, thanks to demand for its graphics processing units for artificial intelligence.

AMD reported $3.86 billion in data center sales, which was up 69% on a dear-over-year basis. The company said the increase was due to sales both in its Instinct GPUs and its EPYC CPUs, which compete with Intel’s processors.

However, analysts polled by FactSet were predicting $4.14 billion in data center sales during the quarter.

For the full year, AMD’s data center division revenue increased 94% to $12.6 billion. AMD said that $5 billion of those sales were from its Instinct GPUs for AI.

While AMD is far behind market leader Nvidia, it’s released competitive data center GPUs in recent years such as the MI300X, that some big infrastructure buyers, including Meta and Amazon, have embraced.

AMD categorizes its chips for PCs, laptops, and other individual computers as client revenue, which increased 58% on an annual basis to $2.3 billion. AMD said both its chips for desktops as well as mobile computers such as laptops are seeing strong demand.

AMD is also the second-largest producer of GPUs for gaming, behind Nvidia. Revenue in the segment declined 59% to $563 million. The company’s other small division, embedded chips, reported $923 million in sales, down 13% year-over-year.

AMD is such a frustrating stock to own. This one has been a big loser for me so far. But I know the minute I dump it, it will rally. Kind of waiting to be able to take a long term loss on it so I can add to AVGO and PLTR.

Follow-up on this episode. Dan Ives always pushes MongoDB as a top AI pick. Need to relook at this one.
I've been pretty close to pulling the trigger the last couple days.

IOT as well. Edit: The trigger finger was itchier then I remember. I did buy some IOT today. Already up .17%

Not that either are cheap, but both have cooled off after hot runs.

AMD getting pummeled this morning. I held AMD for about a year, but dumped it for TSMC last week during the DeepSeek silliness. Good timing! :)

T2K - you have any thoughts on Regeneron? I’ve been looking at recently and it just got an upgrade.

After getting cut in half, REGN has a very good earnings report yesterday. Seems to be a lot of positive buzz around this being the bottom. Eylea got hit by biosimilars, but finally stabilized. Litaybo could be a monster product which now has very positive data for CSCC.

Honestly, thanks for the reminder. I may buy REGN! As of now, the only big pharma/biotech stock I own is VRTX.

The talk is GOOGL is down because of the proposed AI capex spend. $80B this year. They did not get the market memo that AI is now inexpensive.

AVGO and NVDA are up, likely, in part at least, on that proposed spending.

AI capex isn't going anywhere. All the big buyers are buying more in 2025.

Thx - I may start a position in REGN as I got the sense this could be near the bottom and my gut tells me biotech in general may get some attention. I was also looking at RXRX based largely on the AI HC potential plus the Woods pump yesterday.

Uber down this morning on earnings.

CEO coming up on CNBC. Lead in says "best qtr ever" for UBER.

Concern is likely they are going to be pinched by robotaxi's.

Bit of a side note but on closing bell last night some one was talking about GOOGL developing a "virtual cell" on which companies can test drugs before going to an actual lab.

I agree with the CEO. Looks like an outstanding quarter. I have a large UBER position and very bullish for its future.

I dumped all of my Uber around $70 for a decent gain after riding it up and down. I’m itching to get back in but the robotaxi hype keeps me on the sideline. Did Uber CEO specifically address its robotaxi strategy?

I don't know what's been announced but Dara just said "while the stock is cheap we get to buy it back". One of the CNBC guys then said "$1.7B in free cash flow will help you do that".

By the way, lots of smart people saying gold is going to $5000 by the end of the decade. Also, silver hasn't kept pace and should catch up sometime soon.

ya, probably worth watching the interview.

Basics seem to be

1)Currently partnering with Waymo.
2)UBER's growth accelerating even in markets (San Fran) where autonomous is already in play.
3)Autonomous has to be very good because of the risks
4)Autonomous still very small. To this point I think he said UBER has 31mil bookings a day. I think autonomous is like 170K(and that might be weekly).

JC a couple weeks ago on the Compound "it has to get to $5000 before going to $10,000".
