It’s still a big thing down here, at least for my daughter and her friends, I used to love TE seeing old friends at the local bar, The Fireside in Denville was the spot for that. My first Thanksgiving as an RU student I recall getting so drunk, one of my brothers found me passed out on the front lawn when he got home

Thanksgiving Eve was a huge night back in the day in Montclair….Only to be out done by FAT Friday.

TG Eve has always been a big night everywhere. NYC used to be rocking too.

But knowing th wife would be up very early to start cooking, no way for this old guy to try to sleep late- plus, just like ST Patty and NYE- Cops are also very aware of what is happening. And too many idiots on the road so even if you are responsible and call an Uber- it is the other cars you have to worry about.

Was in NY last night for Billy Joel. Penn Station was insane.

Not sure that is the place I would have wanted to be. I used to commute daily and hated Penn St on days like that. Travel days are really the worst as everyone is taking the train over to EWR

It was packed, but oddly peaceful. Very quiet. I do think the city of New York may have completely run out of deodorant. Some strong BO.

Good time was had

Now I have to hit the liquor store before we go to my cousin’s GF for dinner
Can never bank on the host having enough or the right booze 🥃
