Went to see ballerina today and how to train your dragon last week.
They did a great job with both,

my daughter huge dragon fan gave it high marks.

ballerina, nice story and nice tie in to John wick
And Winston. Could see a sequel to it.

Saw The Phoenician Scheme last night. IMO, thoroughly entertaining, funny as hell, and great performances from Benicio Del Toro, Mia Threapleton (Kate Winslett’s daughter), and Michael Cera. Lots of absurdities and beautifully filmed. Great cameos from Tom Hanks & Brian Cranston (as hooping brothers!), and Benedict Cumberbatch as Uncle Nusbar. As with most Anderson films, it comes down to family relationships.

So my dad and I were supposed to play golf
Today at chcc but again it rained in sc. took him to see karate kid. He liked the fact that he went to a movie which he never can go, so good watch. Recommend to wait on it for video.

A new trailer is out for the movie "Eddington." I rarely watch movies anymore in lieu of series (although I really enjoyed A Complete Unknown), but this cast and plot have me interested:

  • Plot: In May of 2020, a standoff between a small-town sheriff (Joaquin Phoenix) and mayor (Pedro Pascal) sparks a powder keg as neighbor is pitted against neighbor in Eddington, New Mexico.
  • Cast: Joaquin Phoenix, Pedro Pascal, Emma Stone, Austin Butler and Luke Grimes
  • Director: Ari Aster
  • Release date: July 18
  • Rating: R

Ari Aster really living up to the hype he built with Hereditary. Nice to see he has other tricks up his sleeve.

NY Times poll of over 500 Hollywood actors, directors, etc. of the Top 30 films of the 21st Century. No real issues here to be honest. But, fun read. Inglorious Basterds might be my personal favorite though….

There should be room for “Winter’s Bone.”
