Watched in a couple days ago, best show I've seen in a while. Phenomenal acting. Feels like it's been a while since I was impressed by Netflix but they have a winner with this one.

New show Apple TV, Dope Thief. Two pals imitating DEA agents and rip off small time dealers drug dealers for cash and dope. They take on the wrong crew and are in deep. Bryan Tyree Henry of Atlanta fame stars anlong with Ving Rhames and backed by Ridley Scott. 8 episodes released each Friday. First two are up.

How strange is it to watch a non action drama that you can’t look away from for even a second, fascinating.
i watched 3 episodes so far with son 2 including 2 last nite and we probably spoke 10 words to each other during the show, im blown away.

I'm 4 episodes into Daredevil and it's been pretty good. D'Onofrio has been terrific as Fisk. Hope we see more of the Punisher this season.
Also Dark Winds has been excellent so far. Love the cinematography and a lot of homages to Hitchcock.
Zahn McClarnon is excellent in it but then he was also one of my favorites in Longmire.

Finally got to see A Complete Unknown and thought it was excellent.
Timothy Chalamet should have gotten the Oscar for that performance and Edward Norton and Monica Barbaro were fantastic.
I watched Anora a few weeks ago. Can’t believe it won best picture and best actress. It was ok nothing earth shattering.

It won the Palm d’Or at Cannes and believe the cast of Emilia Perez shared the best actress award. Madison kind of snuck in because Karla Sofia Garcson torpedoed herself. I tried watching Anora on a recent flight but it opens in a strip club and my daughter was sitting next to me (she’s 10).

New one on Paramount +: MobLand, Guy Ritchie product starring Tom Hardy, Pierce Brosnan. & Helen Mirren. Weekly episode first one is out now. Also Dark Winds continues to be a great series.

Any good? Hardy was a favorite of mine but he’s made the weirdest choices in recent years - either kills it or it’s Venom. Loved The Gentleman on Netflix.

So just started watching mob land. Good first episode. But that is the only damn episode so far. What happened to launching the whole season or 2-3 to get you into it.

1923 always good. Almost home.

Wasn't in the mood for anything serious, so I clicked on Residence on Netflix. Very enjoyable so far. Only an episode and a half in, and I worry that they may have to drag things out too much to fit it into multi-episodic form ... but it's a whodunit at the White House with a quirky black lady as the Sherlock/Poirot figure.

Entertaining show on Apple TV starring Seth Rogen in a way I have never seen on, The Studio, about the machinations behind making films in Hollywood. Two episodes out now and lots of guest stars. Well acted.

Rogen had the cache to star in a film with Charlize Theron as his romantic interest. I see she’s in this too. This is Favreau level power (see: Chef).

I tried the first 2 episodes and didn't like it. I don't know if Aaron Sorkin had anything to do with it but a lot of the dialogue has his imprint on it.
Robert Altman's The Player is much, much better.
Finished up Mid-Century Modern on Hulu. It was ehhh. I was expecting it to be better with Nathan Lane. Linda Lavin was very good in it.

Second episode in and Hardy is great in this show. Guy Ritchie directing so it follows his formula well.

The third episode with Ron Howard was hysterical

If we're talking Apple TV, I will always recommend Monarch: Legacy of Monsters. Such a fantastic series.

Hey, The Biys is good! 😳😂😂😂

I can't believe how good it is. I guess I thought it was for teens or something when it was being publicized back in the day. But now I get to enjoy it for the first time!

I really need stuff to be about 5 years old before I pay attention.

Also, ANDOR, Last of Us, and the Gemstones all on deck. Break out the bongs lads, it's TV time!

I was happy to see MXC Most Extreme Elimination Challenge is on Amazon Prime now. Love that safety fluid!

With that and Dexter's Lab released on DVD recently, my early aughts pre-dvr shows are now available again.

There used to be a free Twitch channel that showed MXC 24/7. It was great background tv. Right you are Ken!

Will say The Last of Us S2 has been delivering in spades so far; season finale next week!

The most recent episode was particularly strong. The dynamic between Pedro Pascal and Ellie has been the most interesting part of the show to me.
