A classic lovable and highly talented entertainer who with his brother brought much joy to TV viewers back in the 60’s-70’s. RIP Tommy

The Smother Brothers Comedy Hour was must see TV Sunday nights on Union St. during the late 60s. I remember that there was a lot of pre-show discussions about that they would do to tweak the censors' noses and whether they would be shut down. The Vietnamese war was ramping up and they were willing to question our direction. In an era with only the three major networks and a few local stations, this was about as controversial as TV got. Plus, they had some great musical acts.
RIP, Tommy.

Funny show. Had an uncle who was a costume designer for the Smothers Brothers show.

“ mom always liked you best”… such a memorable line … simple show with great guests and skits. No longer viewed as important to the networks.
