Elon Musk banned Kanye West after he posted a picture of a swastika, claiming it "violated Twitter's rule against incitement to violence." That's not free speech absolutism, or even close to it. It's not even against Twitter's rules, and only incites violence in the same way that Confederate statues or Donald Trump's Twitter account do. And I didn't support removing those, either.

Kanye was banned because Musk wanted it so, and he justified it by taking big leaps in his reasoning. He wanted Kanye banned, so he did it.

Musk isn't your right wing hero. Sorry, guys.
1) Musk has never been a right wing anything. Hardcore democrat until this year. He still isn’t a Republican as far as I know...he just said he was done voting D because that party has gone way too far bat ish crazy left. Which is a correct assessment.

2) Musk is 100% a hero...but it has zero to do with politics. Exposing the child exploitation stuff on Twitter alone makes him a hero. 100%

3) OK so Musk banned a mentally unstable celeb who posted a swastika & a handful of people (including some journos) for doxing his real time location.

3a) Who else exactly has he banned?

You know when you have excess in society and people are doing just fine? When their concerns are with who runs a social media platform in the richest country in the world or worries about pronouns or if kids should get super expensive hormone therapy or if antifa or the proud boys are in the right?

You think the Congo give a flying touch about any of that? Or most Chinese people? Or most Indian people? Or anywhere in Africa? Or Venezuela?

Nope. They want food and electricity. You have a bunch of well off fools crying over spilled milk here and it’s embarrassing.

Go adopt some kids or house some homeless or work a soup kitchen if you f**ks actually care about humanity. It isn’t Twitter or kids pretending to be opposite sexes or gender fluid. That **** comes only from a life of luxury.

Thank you. No doubt I get caught up in the nonsense too, but yeah, we have it pretty damn good. Despite what both liberals and conservatives say, we're not living in a hellscape and whatever current scandal some think we're in isn't the worst scandal in the history of the world and will likely be forgotten once the new iPhone or whatever the hell comes out. Not everything needs to be so far one way or the opposite way. Elon can just be a very smart, very rich guy who is a bit of an oddball. He's not perfect, he's not a villain, he's not a godlike hero helping Q or the far right round up molesters. Heck, he allowed someone involved in human trafficking back on his platform but thankfully the criminal douche opened his mouth to Thunberg and now he's screwed. Good riddance.

I've said it a dozen times here and it won't change, but a lot of people feel when they log into their social media platform of choice, they must turn up the theatrics and become something they're probably not in their real life. For attention? For likes? I dunno, I guess.

We know. He's actually a pretty liberal guy that has never voted for a Republican president in his life. That's what you keep missing. He and the people working on the twitter files aren't right wing extremist.... They are good old fashioned liberals. You and people like you paint anyone you disagree with as a far right wing Trump supporter.

He banned Kanye because of business. Kanye was toxic as hell after that Jones podcast. He couldn't risk losing advertisers after all the leftist protesting cost him tons of revenue. Twitter is better now than it was. If you arguing it isn't then you aren't the free speech guy you're pretending to be.

You sure he's involved in human trafficking? You said that like just being accused by an anonymous source is proof. Weird how you always believe one side with no evidence but will not even look at evidence from the other side. You also don't seem to acknowledge that several groups who fight child porn have said that Elon has done more to fight child exploitation since taking over twitter than the previous ceo's did in 8 years.

So all you really took from my fairly logical post is you want me to back off Tate and treat him with kid (non pun) gloves and basically call Musk a hero? Sorry, not doing either. I just said Elon isn't perfect, he's not a villain, he's not a hero. He's a very smart, very rich oddball. I don't hate the guy and I'm glad he exists in the world but I'm not hanging off his sack either. You can do that in life. It doesn't need to be he's the worst ever/he's the best ever. I can already tell since the gleam is off Trump some of you are going to make Musk your new superhero that no one should criticize for any reason. It's cool I guess. I loved Patrick Swayze in Point Break but I'm not mesmerized by him either. Some of you sound like you're in puppy love with (another) rich guy.

Back at ya. you got from my post that "I" want you to back off Tate? I asked if you were sure he was guilty. Earlier you said you'd wait for the fbi to investigate "itself" in the twitter files before you gave an opinion. I just think it's funny that when internal documents are released that prove the government was conspiring against people of a certain political leaning... you need more proof. When a guy in Romania gets arrested and released the same day with absolutely no evidence of anything you just parrot the talking point.

I also love that you have to pretend we are making heroes of out of Musk or apparently now Tate. You don't have to make heroes out of them but you just need to admit you are uber biased and incapable of looking at anything dealing with certain political subjects in an unbiased manner. I really don't understand how you can't think that exposing corruption in our law enforcement agencies at a federal level is an obvious good thing.

Anyone that gives a flying touch what Greta says is a moron. She’s a child. When do we listen to the whims of a child? She thinks she knows everything like most of us at her age when really we find out we know nothing. I still know nothing and listen to older folks. I’m not saying kids don’t proffer up good ideas but I’m not changing the world because a child is angry.

If you search "charliekirk11" right now (his actual Twitter handle), you won't even see the name of the great conservative American patriot pop up. You can still get to his page, where he explains he's been put on the Blacklist/"do not amplify" list.

Why does Elon Musk insist on shadow banning conservative voices? Why does he continue to suppress FREE SPEECH?

I can find him via the search just fine. If you can't, I'm suspecting it is due to there still being some legacy algorithm issues. The old Twitter woke rules are a can of worms and Elon has mentioned that they are still working through fully resolving this problem.

This was from Dec 8th. He's speaking of the old Twitter here.

pti desperately wants the twitter of days gone by.

What lefty source did pti glance at to come to that conclusion?

Vox shed some light into pti's mindset:

What’s been shared so far in the Twitter files doesn’t offer clear proof that anyone at Twitter made decisions about specific accounts or tweets because of their political affiliation. We need more context and information to clarify what’s really going on here.

pti just needs some context as to how the fbi and cia were saving democracy by guiding twitter with a gentle shepherd's crook.

Twitter Files: Company Exaggerated Russian Influence to Appease Media, Democrats

Twitter deliberately exaggerated the extent of Russian influence on its platform in an attempt to appease the media and Democrats, even after internal investigations into the matter proved a “dud,” according to journalist Matt Taibbi, who released another batch of the Twitter Files today.

10.“TAKING THEIR CUES FROM HILLARY CLINTON” Crowell added Dems were taking cues from Hillary Clinton, who that week said: “It’s time for Twitter to stop dragging its heels and live up to the fact that its platform is being used as a tool for cyber-warfare.”

Dem US Rep. Adam Schiff directed Twitter to ban Paul Sperry, the journalist who reported on the whistleblower exposing the treasonous Dem plot to undermine former President Donald Trump in his first phony impeachment, for which Schiff served as a House manager.

“Just days after [Trump] was sworn in they were already trying to get rid of him.”

This is the government Schiff desires to run. He does not want his lies countered and wants to control the narrative. What form of government wants to do those things?

This is why the constitution matters. Politicians don’t want the truth or any opposition to their script. They need to be checked.

Too bad we have a complicit media. We need a principled media with character seeking the truth today as much as at any time in history.
