TITLE IX.Which is exactly why teams such as volleyball should be dropped. We need less teams not more. I'm sure it's not a huge amount of money but their whole operating budget could be transferred over to a sport with a fighting chance. How much space do they require in the new facility and what's the added expense of that? The fact we have more varsity sports than the University of Texas is ludicrous.
Do you think TitleIX doesn't apply to other huge universities that have less sports than us? You think Texas just ignores it and gets away? No......we have to many sports and it's ridiculous. We have a school that wants to be budget neutral, still hasn't really bought into the whole big time athletics thing, yet we pay for more sports than more than a couple of the wealthiest athletic departments in the land. Oh, and we live in the northeast so our pretty much eliminates us from ever being good in many if them.TITLE IX.
Where were you over the weekend when they picked up 4 points with a W and a T? [thumb2][thumb2]
I believe so. If not they sure played like it. They very easily could have scored at least 2 more goals and while out shooting IU by a 4 to 1 margin.I wasn't going to sit in the rain vs MSU and got called into work vs UM, but I was told not to attend the games by a poster here anyways. :grimace:
I don't think Julie would agree with that message of RU fans telling potential customers to stay home.
Are the injured players back yet?
