Over the next few weeks, keep your eyes on the Middle East

Widespread GPS issues across Syria, Iraq, and iran tonight. 1 rivet joint and 4 stratotankers out of Souda Bay active over Iraq. 4 seems excessive for a single rivet joint…

NATO E-3 working the Iranian border, as well.
Think we will do something before tomorrow’s SOTU?

As someone who's seen this rodeo before, a lot of this is just show of force posturing... Trying to get these dudes to the negotiating table. I hope it works.

Witkoff set to meet Iranian officials on Thursday in Geneva for a final attempt at negotiation. I firmly believe that the talks will essentially be capitulate or get lit up.

Based on the demands being made and public comments in the last 24-48 hours by Vance and Rubio, it seems clear that this is what’s playing out. The demands are fairly stringent and were knowingly backing them into a corner. It’s a coup and big foreign policy win if they acquiesce to the terms (I’d be shocked). If they don’t, then the groundwork is being laid and the hardware put in place to deal. What that means as far as timing IF no agreement is reached, I don’t know. I would think absolute earliest action would be late Friday into the weekend. If there is no agreement, I think the US would prefer that Israel strike first from an optics/political perspective, and I don’t think Iran is stupid enough to do something escalatory on their own that would give the US a reason to respond.

Posts like these are always useful. Gets a lot easier to filter out the irreparably stupid when they out themselves.
I’m a sephardic jew whose lineage has been in America since the American revolution. I’m sorry I don’t care about a country established in the 50s by a bunch of Europeans.

Israel and their pro war and Epstein policies have no place in America.

Not the Middle East but is military related. My son just found out his buddy (who joined the Air Force to be a mechanic) has been placed to work on the F-22 Raptor engines.

US authorized departure of “non-emergency” personnel and family members to leave Mission Israel due to “safety risks” and “while commercial flights are available.”

It's hard to believe that we may soon see a world without Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Houthis. 😉🙂
I have a good friend who is a hard working, honest Yemeni water engineer. He cannot work in Yemen because of the local Hezbollah soldiers and when he goes home to see his family, he has to stay in the home the whole time. Now, he bounces around the Horn of Africa finding work where he can. The faster that crew is out of power, the better.

Unfortunately, the root of the problem is much deeper than those groups. But it’s a dang start.

Some of our best friends live in Jordan. So our kids are having a coordinated “snow day” where they’re playing online together to take their attentions off of the missile sirens. Prayers to all those who have families especially military in the region.

Ethiopia is also gearing up to fight their “rebel” state (Tigray State), Eritrea, and possible Sudan. They’ve been amassing forces in the region. Rumor is that they’ve been waiting to see if the Iran situation would go big so that they can attack without much attention.

We could be looking at the Horn, the peninsula, and the greater Levant shut down at once.

Hope you all filled up like I recommended. This one is going to be a while. We struck the Ayatollah’s compound on purpose. Lincoln CSG is delivering hell to the Iranian Navy and we told the Chinese to get their navy vessels out of the area ASAP or face risk.

This one is gonna be much harsher than last summer IMO.

I just hope it doesn’t embolden any terrorist cells in America for retaliation

as far as I can tell, that’s the biggest risk to all of this to the Continental US

And you really believe that don't you?
Well it’s par for the course with Israel, few things they like doing more than killing children and blowing up schools and hospitals. A truly godless nation and society

That’s going to happen. Avoid large mass crowd events for a bit if you’re worried.

I could see potential terrorist attacks attempted but the good news is Iran does not have long range missiles that can reach the United State

Ya missiles would be bad..but the cyber attack mess could take out electricity and power grid. .because of our dependency on technology...it could be potentially far worse if it is sustained outage over widespread areas
