Over the next few weeks, keep your eyes on the Middle East

That may very well be true, but please list the ones that like Isreal.
That's just it, they all don't like each other. They just have to put up with one another. Egypt, Jordan, Bahrain and UAE all do business with Israel. KSA is currently trying to make nice with them now as well. Hell, I don't even like Israel, but that doesn't mean I am going to close them off. They just have to work with them because for some reason, the US and for some unknown reason fundamentalist Christians think they are the best thing in the world even whenever the Israeli citizens do not give a damn about us.

It is as if the Theocracy learned nothing from the Shah's exit from power or their own rise.

LOL. I’ve stated what I did before. ITT, probably. One of my closest friends was Syria desk then Iran desk. Stationed in Baku now. Talked to him early this week. It’s not letting up. There are coordinated efforts being made to arm Iranians. He also said they’re starting to see morgues flooded with bodies - like 30-40 at a time - that have been killed neatly and in basically the exact same way. Several are people who have been presumed dead after being arrested a year or two ago. Emptying out your prisons typically isn’t a move you make if things are business as usual.

I wonder how Russia feels as their Southern wall/curtain falls. Have to think the Kremlin is not fond of these developments. How much influence are they currently able to project in that area? Will dissent continue to move North toward Georgia? Or will they wash their hands similar to Syria? If I am describing that accurately.

Haunting. We we are talking Children of the Corn, Malaki, Number of the Beast, Omen and Dante's 12 Pack rolled into one.

Guess what, you can now do this which is even more haunting if you have seen or tested what these LLM Ai Sarah Conner Terminator sites can do.

But the good news is I am going to create a new Team Stadium entrance using this tech. Stay tuned. Aces High.. @scartiger knows

Many of the air assets used in the Maduro build have redeployed across the Atlantic to Portugal, likely heading towards the Centcom AOR. A couple Aegis destroyers have been moved over from 6th Fleet as well.

Roosevelt CSG left San Diego a little over a week ago ahead of normal deployment timeframe. Original deployment was for WESTPAC operations. Leaving early likely means moving to ME to assist Lincoln CSG. USNI showed a mid week update that they don't normally do confirming this. Usually just updates on Mondays.

Also, USS Boxer an amphibious assault ships (Marines) departed last Wednesday. It's a part of 3rd Fleet which includes the Lincoln and Roosevelt CSGs. Hoping this one is just doing maneuvers and not heading to ME. ARGs carry as many as 4000 marines and SEALS. Usually around 2200 MEU onboard during normal activities.

Jordan does. Egypt and Israel is formalized toleration. Not sure I’d consider it very strong.
No. Egypt and Israel are very close. Maybe not the Egyptian populous which is full of Salafists. But the government of Egypt and government of Israel have a very close working relationship.

We've got 6 B2 bombers at Diego Garcia. 1 more to arrive this week. B52s are also on station there now. Over 10 C17s that are obviously transporting munitions for said bombers. Nearly 10 KC135 tankers. This is NOT a show of force. This is guarantee of force.

By end of week, the USS Carl Vinson will be on station with her Strike Group. The USS Truman has had it's Middle East deployment extended and has been attacking the Houthis in Yemen repeatedly for around a week or so now. A 3rd Strike Group is likely heading that way as well and I would guess it's either the Nimitz (that just departed on her last mission) or the USS Gerald Ford that is in pre-deployment maneuvers in the Western Atlantic. The USS GHWB is also prepping for departure from Norfolk and the USS Lincoln at North Island is prepping for departure. That's a lot of Naval hardware about to be a sea.

Trump's comments that Iran either plays ball or bad things are going to happen is not a bluff. We're gonna continue to hammer the Houthis. The dumbasses actually tried to launch missiles at the Truman Strike Group last week.

Add to it that the Israelis are very wary of Iran's nuclear program. They took out most, if not all air defenses around Iranian Military Critical Infrastructure in their last attack.

Just saying, something to keep close eyes on. This can all be found on the internet if you look. We're not even trying to hide it.
Was calling on a Directorate at Robins AFB years ago. B2 fired up 2 hangars down. Dear Lord you can feel the power in your freaking teeth. That's a bad *** bomber.

Is it political that I don’t want to use military power in Iran?
Stating opinions generally is good, where people take things off rails is when they put rhetoric with it. Saying I don’t want war is not political but if I started stating “talking points” and rhetoric, then that ventures into the political arena.

Not-political: War is happening, and this is how it’s happening.
Political: It’s bad that war is happening/it’s good that war is happening.
Annoying: Israel and the Neocons are controlling us all!

Did you mean a B-1? B-2 just has run-of-the-mill turbofans. The Bone on the other with those four massive engines in full augmenter is something to behold... untill you work on the flightline with them day-in and day-out. Then you learn to hate 'em. Same with those friggin lawndarts. 🙄

Unfortunately no, what was the issue.
Sorry, that was supposed to be "spend".

Fighters usually take off in groups of two and four, and the typical flight line is right up against the runway. The sound is so obnoxious you can't hear yourself think, and it's one right after another. Another engine noise that is notoriously frustrating is the T-37, or Tweet. So called because of the unique sound their centrifugal-style compressor jet engines make. We had a whole squadron of those divert to Barksdale AFB when I was stationed there in the 90's. Man I was glad when those things left.

Anyway, not hating on our fine American machines, just reminiscing in a way.

Probably....since you made me think back over 25 years and I went back and looked at it online. Bad memory with good intentions.

As someone who’s worked around C-17s, 5s, and 130s, we definitely knew when the little guys were in town.
Yeah, C-17's are whisper quiet by comparison. In fact, you can here a the C-17's APU over it's four engine at idle.

Anyway... Sorry for highjacking this thread. Now back to whether or not Iran is about to get that *as beat.

So when’s this all going down? I don’t have weather reports to keep me entertained anymore.
I know you were joking. But hopefully not at all unless absolutely necessary. We are going to lose an aircrew at some point just from random chance.

I would love to see the mullahs gone. But at what cost? And who fills that power vacuum?

It was of course tongue in cheek the premise of why. It still doesn’t change it seems to be a matter when not if. I’ve truly been tuned out the last 3-4 days. So was seeking some perspective.

Stood like 45 degrees off the back of a B-1 taking off. Probably 400-450 yards. You can feel it. Viscerally. Never seen a B-2 take off. They can be eerily quiet though. They used to do night runs following the ICW near our old beach place. They could be very quiet. On nights with no moon to backlight them, they looked like the weirdest set of lights just gliding up the ICW. I’m convinced after seeing it multiple times that they are responsible for roughly 30% of UFO “sightings.”

Joint naval exercises between Iran, China, and Russia have been postponed until the end of February. Supposedly Chinese ships were still en route when the call was made despite everything going on. There is some smoke that Ali Reza Tangsiri - IRGC Naval Commander - was killed in a targeted air strike. This would seem to support that, but I need to see some wider, more concrete verification.
