I think we might need to start understanding that the last two weeks will end up being the easiest part of this war for the United States.

This thread has basically become useless for inside thoughts or updates on the war. We've got people posting about God, Shakespeare and then the same person that doesn't do anything but retweet everything from his X feed.
Thanks for your contributionyeah I think I have gotten AIDS...at least herpes
@P. Marlowe info that he can share publicly is about the only thing I've kept reading

Looks like USS Tripoli and the 31st MEUYeah. There are others.
OSINT is reporting lots of equipment movement around the country but it’s very difficult to decipher what’s noteworthy and what’s noise from normal rotations that typically go unnoticed being reported now because of global events. That’s as much as I’ll say for now.
Unfortunately, that’s why several people that have actual knowledge left the thread. What is being reported as news (not even talking opinion/commentary) on Twitter and other outlets - even when accurate - is often very behind what’s actually unfolding. You have two major developments in the last 24 hours that I’ve seen reported nowhere. To be fair, I haven’t looked that hard.
Not a welcome development

Personally my litmus test for that is what it means for resolving the conflict and returning global supply chains to a steady state. I’d prefer withdrawing and finding a way to make peace first but a large scale intervention that has meaningful effect towards moving both parties to an off ramp is a distant second preference and still well ahead of not doing enough in either direction and allowing Iran to squeeze energy prices by dictating movement through the SoH indefinitely while we air strike and special operations our ways to no meaningful objectives. Is that not dependent on who it is/why they’re there?
Yes. They are on the way. As stated though, there are others. There now. And arriving in the coming days.
This isn’t football recruiting. People with actual inside info could go to jail for sharing it. Everything here is likely third or fourth hand at best.I haven't commented on this thread yet but I am following it, can anyone let me know who might actually have some legit info as to what's going on so I can just follow that instead of the twitter/social media posts that do not know anything.
Thanks for the comment, I figured as much. This isn’t football recruiting. People with actual inside info could go to jail for sharing it. Everything here is likely third or fourth hand at best.
Thanks for trying to stick around and for providing useful updates. Sucks that the others left. That’s as much as I’ll say for now.

CENTCOM was created to prevent the SOH closing and being mined and yet here we areI don't understand how we didn't see this coming. Did we not think they would actually close the SOH? That and attacking energy assets around the region is their only real leverage. Whodathunkit but they did exactly what they have been saying they would do all along if the US or Israel attacked them again. What does the IRGC really have to lose at this point anyway? Israel has shown they can't be trusted in any ceasefire agreement and we've all seen what happens to an under-armed country Israel doesn't like. We/Israel are already killing every leader they name within a few days.
Short of committing war crimes or a mass land invasion what screws do we have left to turn? Honest question.
TBF it seems like many people in the pentagon saw this all coming but the warnings fell on deaf ears.

My guy who was “in Poland” in the winter of 2021 and 2022 took a bad fall last year on a jump and is on CONUS desk duty so my inside info on this one is limited. I’m sure we’ve got SF assets on the ground for a while now though based on how things went for him with Syria and Eastern Europe. Usually major force movements are much harder to hide than teams though because of the amount of infrastructure that travels with them. If we were doing things that advanced us towards option 2 right now, I wouldn’t like it but I’d expect us to be able to see evidence of it relatively early.
The Trebil crossing?Someone pretty sharp could have spotted the asset movement within the last few days. Kind of amazing to me with all the internet sleuths that geek out over **** like this that we haven’t seen more. Evidence was and is publicly available. You’d just have to have been in the right place on the right day around 11:00UTC or know how to find it.

This whole Iran business is really doing a number on his REM patterns.
bro if you're going to go searching through my post history for some bizarre reason, let me at least point you in the appropriate direction....
the only thing worse than watching you pussies cry in different threads about your bad bunny safespaces is watching you attempt gotcha moments that the average third grader could navigate.

Think I will need more information to hedge my wagers accordingly. I dm'd Jr and hit Pete up on Signal but neither is talking. Not a welcome development

Crazy Nancy Mace still sucks and Palmetto State citizens should be embarrassed that she's anywhere close to the governor's race hth
Weird that you went to the trouble of going back 8 months ago in a different thread then but feel free to dig up another bangerWe’ve all been around for at least a few of your Nancy mace meltdowns. Pretty sure there’s one in this thread, iirc. Something about her boobs and the citadel. They aren’t hard to find.

France's Finance Minister Roland Lescure revealed on Wednesday that between 30 and 40 per cent of Gulf refining capacity has been damaged or destroyed by Iran's retaliatory strikes, leaving a shortage of 11 million barrels a day on global oil markets. Lescure warned it could take up to three years to restore damaged facilities, and several months to restart those that were urgently shut down.

In all seriousness, there were a couple of missle alerts earlier and sadly some fatalities due to falling debris from the interception. But these have gotten a lot less frequent. The biggest issue right now is not the war but the weather. We have had torrential rain for the last few days and half the UAE is underwater. Dubai and AD just aren't equipped to deal with it and the water has no place to go. Got one more night of heavy stuff tonight and hopefully that will be the end of it.
I'm hoping what we are seeing is just reflections of lighting fixtures. If not enjoy the fireworks.Just add 8 hours and you are good. Nine in November because you suckers still change the clocks.
Cheers!

One example of why I question it is that the Ruwais refinery in the UAE got hit by drone debris a week or two ago. It caused a fire that was put it. I used to live in Ruwais and drive by it all the time it is the 4th largest refinery in the world and is massive. I doubt that strike made a dent in production. But it was described in western press as a major impact.
Correct. Light fixtures. Too windy to sit outside.I'm hoping what we are seeing is just reflections of lighting fixtures. If not enjoy the fireworks.
Agreed. My guess would be that this is propaganda designed to put pressure on US to negotiate.
Doesn’t take a ton of damage to cause major problems…for instance, the blown transformer that took VCSNS offline for 2 months a few years back…I clicked on the link, but couldn't get the full story because the page sucked.
