The playoffs are finally here! I am excited for the draw Catholic got in terms of the entire bracket. Gotta win round 1 though.
Kudos to Coach Samek over at Parkland for getting them into the playoffs it's a great story and he deserves credit.
I haven't watched much film on them(I am currently watching ND game) so will give further breakdown but I think Catholic will take this one handily.

I would be surprised if Parkland can give CC a game. They may be good for a big play TD or two, but will be overmatched nearly everywhere.

I agree, Charlotte Catholic Cougars Fourteen , Coach Samek needs consideration concerning Coach Of The Year, or some similar environments such as those previously discussed . Good luck to the Parkland Mustangs in their quest for The Bling

I agree. After seeing their film vs North Davidson and Davie County I feel Catholic matches up with them very well when Parkland is on offense. We've seen lots of spreads this year(AK, South Meck, heck even Christian kind of runs one) and we have handled 2 of those with dominance, Christian runs an offense similar to Clemson's and in week 1 we just did not play well enough to win.
I do not think Parkland can stop our offense. It's hard enough for teams like South Meck who see it every year to stop it and Parkland had 1 week to truly prepare with film and such. Unless you just have flat out great athletes like Northern Guilford, Dudley and New Bern in the past you are not stopping it.
Catholic rolls in this one. Running clock may very well come into play here.

Not going to buy that one....think Parkland will play their hearts out, but it would be an enormous upset if they pull off that score. Catholic offense seems almost methodical at times (ok, so I only saw them play once, but it was up close and too personal). Enjoyed their stadium, you really feel like you are on top of the action. Also, selfishly enjoyed the heck out of it when Christopher smashed a 30 something yard field goal over the roof of the building behind the endzone. Good stuff and good luck to both teams!

CC14....yeah I claim him most of the time (especially with my taxes). He works really hard, takes pride in what he does, tries to do the little things to help his team. Thanks for the kind words.

Seriously, you guys have a class program. If we aren't around to play you in the 3rd round again this year, you'll have my support for a repeat championship.

I do believe he misspoke there Honda, any of the big 4
in the west 4a could be in the title game
now anyone other than those 4 is slim to none

Mount Tabor is weak vs pass. Semi Strong vs run. I'm not sure what Catholic does but that's the story of Tabor defense

North Davidson has what many would call a strong passing attack and Tabor shut us out in the 2nd half of our game with them. I wouldn't say Tabor was weak against the pass unless that game was just a statistical outlier.

Tabor is used to seeing spread teams. They haven't faced a run it down your throat wing t like catholic has. Different kind of offense to prep for...

Catholic has 1600yrds passing and 17 passing TDs, no longer only a run team, but we do still run it at you and tire you out throughout the game.
However, we can worry about Mt Tabor if they beat Porter Ridge who is much improved from last season.
