We can probably thank Coach Wesley "The Crime Dogg"** McGriff for the latter party. Having spent 4 years in Miami, he learned how the U did it in the 80s. Now TSUN is like the U in the 80s.**

If that handful of big guns that are committing at the Egg Bowl last month last week Friday after their visits goes to this shin dig and talks about where else they are going besides Ole Miss, it might suddenly be uncool to go to Ole Miss. So I'm thinking huge visit party could backfire.

Yea, I think this weekend could really backfire for them. Many of the kids probably won't even come, and many others might be lucky to get a "hello" from the coaching staff while they are concentrating on bigger fish.

Totally agree with you.

I think getting all these highly recruited recruits on campus is a bad thing. Im not really sure what Freeze is doing.

We need to send some hot coeds up there to infiltrate and have them wired up. Followed by a Chris Hanson moment**

On the flipside, having that many notable national names has got to catch the attention of other coaches/fanbases rather than just the in-state rival MSU, right. Specially with so many 'croots committed to other schools.

So now the spin is that it's a bad sign for them that they have a good group of recruits in for visits? I thought the whole idea was to get as many good players in for a visit as you can.

Them boys know that they are about to be in for one hell of a party weekend. Will be treated like rock stars. Allegedly upper class crusties are about to stoop to new lows to see that it happens. It's going to be like the Vegas of college football. Never lost a party baby.

I'd be a little worried if I had a daughter in Oxford.

Well it was hit on a few days ago but dismissed by most. If some of these Memphis kids end up at the strip clubs, it will be known and passed along.

Considering the body of the original post, is the subject/title potentially offensive? Maybe it's a term I'm not used to seeing (like "crootin").
