If he shoots the ball, yes. If he plays how he's played the last month then it's better if he gets into foul trouble and Derick goes on the floor in his place.

Don’t put pressure on him, doesn’t handle it well. No need to be a hero. Score, dish, rebound, score, smart ball

I’m not sure what outside of blind faith would make you believe this was a possibility.

Things don’t just magically turn around.

Actually they typically do turn around at some point.... Unless you think once a player is slumping they are screwed for the rest of their career

Something is broken, not interested in analyzing what it is. Obvious that it wasn’t going to fix itself in this timeframe.

Folks.....it's not the right time or place for knocking any of our players. They're the ones out there putting it in the line and Mulcahy, good and not so good, has been part of this rebuild.

I am disappointed in the results and play down the stretch, but in the bigger picture, he was pushed up into a role that wasn't designed for him to be an attack scoring guard. You would think this would be a wide open opportunity to showcase that as the leader, but he doesn't have that scoring mentality and the staff placed wayyyy too much on the plates of players like Mulcahy.

He's had a tremendous run and let's leave it at that. He played a part of 4 very solid, productive seasons that helped lift it to this point. It's clear that unless there are 4 other scoring options on the court that can generate their own shot off the dribble, Mulcahy wasn't going to be able to hide the gaps in his game.

We all are disappointed and should not be overly negative. It's clearly now on the entire coaching staff to take the momentum from the entire 3 to 4 year run and get after things in recruiting the way they have been, so we aren't in a position to ask players to do more than they're capable of. If fans want to get on Paul, I get it, I have been on this for awhile. But in the Big picture, the end of this season let us down, but isn't that truly unexpected IMO....the team needed more from Paul, he just wasn't able to provide that.

Hawk, Paul being part of the rebuild is honorable and he should be commended just like the rest of the players who got us into the tournaments. That said sometimes you have to realize for the better of the team you need to pass the torch. He was not helping the team the last part of the season. Something happened to him in the Indiana game and he has been a shell of himself.
