Last time Pender beat WRH, Eanes was coaching the Patriots. Eanes got a top 5 program in 1a and has good athletes. Not sure they have enough. What y’all think?

Pender has had an open week to prapare for WRH. Eanes triple option requires a few good running backs. Running backs and receivers that can block. They have several backs with numerous carry’s. To be honest, Patriots don’t know what’s about to hit them Friday. They won’t stop WRH. I think Pender might have a couple break aways. I’ll go with what tigerpride said 55-14

It’s been hard to tell what Pender has this year from playing Lejune and Union..just watching them I believe they are better than last year..i know there running backs are good and there qb is really good and makes good decisions..i think it will be a lot closer than what most people think

One of my buddies kid is starting RB at Pender. He knows football and said they got some athletes, and their coach is a good coach at the 1a level. Think WRH will be to much for them, but wouldn't be surprised if it's 2 or 3 score game.

Pender has looked impressive so far this year. Granted the two opponents that they had were not the best. I think if they are going to win this game they need to grind out long methodical drives and keep that Wallace Rose Hill offense off the field because if it turns into a shootout I don't like penders chances

Option teams are hard to prepare for in a week of practice. The option tends to even things out for the team running it. If Wallace doesn't play assignment football they could get a surprise. Really do not know anything about Pender D, but the wingT is also tough to prepare for. Wallace wins but may be closer than expected.

They are very well coached.
Yes they are. Eanes built that program instantly his first stay at Pender and looks like they’re back this time. Pender hadn’t beaten WRH in about 30 years before he did. I think a 4-2-5 can stop his triple option with the athletes we have. I think we’ll cause some turnovers. Our guys are well coached also

4--2-5? As a former option coach, you better have more than 6 men in the box if they can run it at all. They will not block the down linemen which means the play side of the line will release up to LB's. The FB and QB could have big games against that. The option equalizes athletes because it slows them down and forces them to play assignment football. Better put 7 or 8 in the box

I definitely don’t know what you know but 4/2/5 puts one and a half defensive players on the qb and same with pitch guy. Lb( Montgomery) on qb and hb. SS( Pearsall) on pitch guy first. FS on a dive to help qb and pitch. Corner playing man. Be honest with me, would that work

It will work. If I were the option team I would be glad to see that. I have four linemen blocking 2 backers and safety if needed. Corner is gone because receiver will run him off. Wing will block pitch read. I would take that and 3 or 4 yards all night. Key would be for those linemen to not let oline free release to backers. It's hard for a player to be responsible for two people. Slows them down

You definitely got to play your responsibility. Corner (Lonnie) definitely got receiver. They ot and end will try to double T. DE will play qb. Lb and safety has to get to line of scrimmage. Good conversation

Love talking real football! If they double the T the DE better be on dive. It depends on whether they run A gap dive or B gap dive. Do they run flex bone look or pro look?

I don’t. Guess it might help if I did

Does that mean where rb’s are set?

I think the QB is the whole key with this offense . He can make it or break it. Wonder if he can throw the ball? If he can that makes it a different monster.
He has thrown the ball 2 times in first game and 4 in second. I guess enough to keep corner honest.

I was told they run flex bone. Friend told me he wouldn’t run 4/2/5 either. What you think WRH will do

I would run a 5 man front with 3 good quick linebackers and bump and run with my corners . I think this will shut down that offence. You could also run a 44 and walk the two outside backers up and still play bump and run. It will be hard to run against either defense.

That we got is quick linebackers. Haven’t seen WRH with a five front but then again we haven’t played Pender
