Well, Buckkiller, the only think I agree with in this post in the part of being a better coach and winning games.... About the screwing his mother and being ok with that, you lost me.
The sad part of this is...ask Public Enemy if he cared if BP was doing this as long as he won games...ALL Otis fans feel this way...just win baby

Petrino is a lot like Spurrier in his glory days. He will and has brought in good QBs which are a key to winning. He also expects certain things from such a QB or the next guy is coming in.

how is having an opinion about UK's current football coach, and desiring one I think we should have gotten, considered trolling?

I don't think it would be an issue if the coach you were talking about wanting to replace your own was currently at your #1 rival.

I do think its extremely foolish to think that Petrino wouldn't be at a Power 5 school right now. Petrino got a job at a pretty good program right out of the gate at WKU and would have been hired by a power 5 school before the current season had UL not hired him. UL simply had a need at a pivotal time in the programs future (moving to the ACC) and instead of taking a gamble on an assistant with no experience you go with a proven commodity with baggage. I don't understand the mentality that you would rather be terrible than hire a coach you don't personally like....I know for a fact that a massive portion of the fan base did not like John Calipari for various reasons and now he's a God. Winning changes your opinion of a guy real quick.

that's a part of sports, produce, or the next guy up gets a shot. playing mister nice guy, and hoping your player eventually gets it, is what gets coaches fired.

The funny thing about this thread is that Petrino and his offense have been awful this year. His clock management and timeouts have been amateurish at best, his offense has been a joke and singlehandedly almost cost them games vs BC and WF.

We also have a lot of comments on this board about Jason Hatcher and his off field issues...if you have a problem with him, you'd hate Petrino because he has a team full (or worse).

I do think Petrino is an offensive guru...the interesting thing this year is that he didn't trust his own system and tried to play a dual threat read option guy for the majority of the year.

Louisville is beating Syracuse 38-10 right now.

Anything else is irrelevant.

I have to watch UofL thrive while UK continues to not show up.

Excuse me for wanting more. I'm done with the message boards for today. Nothing's I say on here matters. Towles will start next week, he will struggle, UK probably puts up less than 10 points, and loses to Vandy. Trying to express my desire to win does nothing. UK and the administration has to decide what is acceptable and what isn't
ROTFLMFAO. Excuse you for wanting more? Haha hahahahahahahahaha UofL I'd playing a RERRIBLE team and beating TERRIBLE teams by 3 points or less and you want MORE because UK is playing top 25 teams and losing? You're absolutely ignorant when it comes to anything football. You're comparison is void because you obviously have no clue what you're talking about. The only obvious solution is you're a closet UofL fan.

There's a difference in hating Rupp (who they hated for winning) and hating Petrino
(Who is hated because he's a douchebag and a-hole). Huge difference

How is that any different than Nick Saban?

Everyone that has encountered him says he's the biggest jackass on the face of the Earth.

Guys, no need in bringing up their weak schedule. Without a miracle catch we lose to powerhouse EKU. That's right, freaking EKU. I'm just keeping it real

Again...as long as we stay NCAA & APR Compliant and win couldn't care less...as Dan Hawkins said when he was the Colorado coach....it is "Division One Football"...P5...it is Petrino and any other coach job to win games pure and simple.

IF UK played that ACC schedule we'd go bowling too.
You said the same thing when UL was in CUSA and the Big EAST but they still beat UK. Uk is the biggest under achiever in college football that is one area that they are ranked in they always be top 5.

I was being sarcastic but we need a experienced football coach here IMO. Maybe Stoops gets it done but he needs to get out of his coordinators ear let him call the damn game.

Wow the birdies are feeling their oats this morning after beating mighty Syracuse. Hey you guys don't have to remind us that it's "all about winning, pure and simple". We saw it on Outside the Lines.

The only reason I even responded is because I was actually mentioned...as far as beating Syracuse only did what they were favored to do...one more win to go to get to a Bowl.

petrino didn't set the SEC on fire when he was at Arkansas. A school with a much better recruiting base than UK. In fact, the more of his recruits there were, the worse they did.

I was talking to, a guy at work a few weeks back. He said we will win at least 7 games because we will beat Charlotte, Vandy, and UL. I said you can forget beating UL because Petrino will out coach Stoops. He will draw up a few trick plays and Jackson wiil drop back, drink some gatorade, maybe order a pizza, and then take off and run all over us. I didn't want Petrino here because I think he is a POS, but he is an elite offensive coach.

College sports are already in the gutter with just horrible character all around especially in football. I prefer if our coach wasn't a total POS.

I don't care if he is SCUM, he is an offensive genius, and Loserville will be going BOWLING AGAIN...while the CATS lick their tales in the off-season again. I do not see this team winning another game except maybe Charlotte. HE DEVELOPS QBs...while at UK, their QBs regress...

I'm disappointed right now as everyone else is, but this comment here makes you look a little foolish. Petrino has shown nothing so far at his 2nd stint at Louisville to label him an "offensive genius". Come on.

Everyone freaked out last year at this time about how Louisville would blow us out. They won, but barely, at PJCS. Petrino didn't exactly coach circles around us. And let's not act like UofL has done much this year to freak out about. Yes they beat Syracuse handily but they just barely beat WF, which is Vandy equivalent. Hell, so is BC and 'Cuse. They're very beatable. That said, we had better get it together.

Kentuckys record would be better then UL'S if UK was in that Joke of a football conference!

We both lost to Auburn...So are saying you would have beaten undefeated Top 25 Houston....#1 Clemson and won at Florida State...ok...

1. Again, any comparisons to Calipari, Saban, Spurrier or anyone else that a lot of people dislike are misplaced. Petrino is virtually unique. Name someone else blackballed by an entire conference? Bet ya can't. When UK hired Cal, when Bama hired Saban, ESPN didn't have a headline saying "Shameless" like they did about uofl and BP. Sports Illustrated didn't say "They only care about winning", etc. etc. Jaywalking and armed robbery are both against the law - they are not comparable. Same with comparing Petrino to anyone else.

2. He was 41-9 in his first stint at uofl; he's 14-8 so far in his second. Those of you thinking he's still an offensive genius need to roll your calendars forward a few years.

The real sad part is that over half the sports world is just like them. Win at all costs. Whats sadder is were in the half that doesnt feel this way and playing at a disadvantage. And even sadder, its never going back to the Leave it to Beaver world many long for so how long before we take the "if you cant beat em join em approach"? If this were hoops we'd have taken that approach long ago, but its the red headed step child of sports at UK, football.

Even with some of the questionable decisions by Petrino this year, I believe he is a better coach at this time.

I also believe he has proven to be a **** face everywhere he has been.

Had he come to UK and had any ounce of success he would leave us high and dry at the worst possible time for greener pastures just like he did the Cards and the Falcons, and I'm sure he will again if any big school is shady enough to offer him.

Now which dorm is Minardi Hall? I heard they were having two for ones this Sunday...

Petrino is a better coach. There is zero doubt there. I'm happy Barnhart didn't pick him though. We don't need that scum here.

Talking about CYA...you have no clue or proof that BP would be at another P5 school and I would almost guarantee you that he is bb from sec schools and most other "reputable " school... Otis was desperate and took the leap and now you are stuck with two WMERS and adulters...but if I had to guess , BP will win and he could do something else there and he would be kept just like Benedict has been
