Pisgah at Hendersonville.. loser eliminated from title chase

Some may have give up but not me.Ever so often we seems to have a game like we did against East.We always play better the next week.This is a game the Bears can win and will win.
That might be the ticket WIR for this game. I believe the key to winning this game is for Pisgah to slow down the Hendersonville passing game which is considerable. I look for a high scoring game in this one. When I saw Hendersonville early on, it wasn't their defense so much that was impressive, it was their OFFENSE that caught my attention. This will be a good one to keep an eye on.
Of course I'm biased...but franklin completely took the running game away from Hendersonville making them totally one dimensional and then brought pressure on 85% of snaps forcing quick throws...it worked holding them to one TD and two FG...truth is athletically it's a mismatch..and it will be interesting to see Pisgah offensive and defensive scheme..not to create debate but simply IMO..I think it's possible they don't win again
Any team that gets beat by east is terrible, the championship was won by Franklin couple weeks ago.
My two cents.. east lost to Rosman and North Henderson. A good team having a bad night. Still wins them games by 21. This game could get ugly
Read it wrong. Still won by 7. And lost to chase. And North hendo. North hendo is terrible. Like I said above. Bad game or not.. good teams still win vs them kind of teams
I don't know how bad Rosman is but east is the only team that Chase has beat all year. Yea that's bad. Pisgah just had a really bad night a really bad night.
Giving up is never an option. If last night's JV game is any indication as to what tonight will be, Hendo will be Pisgah's whipping post. We plastered 38 points on the Bearkittens in the first 10 minutes.
Proud of my Bears tonight! Fought from behind and would have won if special teams didn't let them down. Felt like we got too conservative in the second half and it bit us in the WhoaMule (I think you know what thats supposed to be a substitute for). Defensively I loved how our DB's responded from last week. Was also encouraged seeing some young skill players making plays and our QB making them pay with his scrambling ability.
Goes to show you that nobody can judge what the varsity teams are going to do based on JV scores. Tuscola took it on the chin last night against West, (without a doubt the best JV squad I have seen this year) but the varsity dominated in Mills River, scoring 28 points in the first quarter. I could have told PHS fans that the JV Hendersonville team was very weak this year and short in numbers, but that sure doesnt apply to the varsity squad. I think THS scored 4 times against their JVs in a 10 play scrimmage and only had the ball on offense once. I know Hendersonville varsity won on a blocked field goal return as time ran out, but to be honest I wasn't expecting that game to be anywhere near that close. The moral of this story seems to be none of us know what the hell we are talking about.
Can't tell you to much about them, 7-1 (20-16 loss to Mountain Heritage) only close wins were 10-6 Asheville and Rabun County (GA) 20-13.
Lol I don't blame Pisgah fans for wanting to talk jv football..i believe franklin jvs coulda beat East varsity..lol..

Maybe Franklin will be so naive and full of themselves like W.I.R is that they will just start their backups on us. That would be hilarious. By the way W.I.R, that's spelled "hyphen" in case they don't teach that in Macon County.
I got to say in Pisgah's defense that they have played a particularly tough schedule. I have no doubt that Greeneville TN would have beat Franklin every bit as bad as they beat Pisgah, and/or just about anybody else in WNC. I have also seen Franklin this year, and world beaters they are not. While Pisgah will certainly go into the game as an underdog, the run heavy offense Franklin uses goes right into the strength of the PHS defense. You can expect a close game, at the very least.. THAT is, if Pisgah forgets for just 48 minutes that they are not playing Tuscola, and concentrate on THIS week instead of Labor Day weekend past.

Did Hendersonville get anyone ejected Friday night..by the looks of things the officiating was suspect to be nice...i knew Pisgah would give them a good game (should have won) after the game at east (should have won)..so rest assured the panthers will respect the bears and give them undivided attention..was great GAME last year..expecting another good one friday...jv game at franklin for conf title Thursday will be better than many varsity games..
Yeah, they threw one out after he tried to drive our QB's head into the ground.Then said something to the ref after the flag.Don't believe the JV game will be close.Friday will be closer.
Hope they think they are playing Tuscola.You're right about us having problems with a passing team.Will be interesting to see if Franklin decides to come out throwing.
