Loved it as well. You could tell he cherished the moment. And really awesome to hear what sounded like the entire crowd cheering for him.
He’s been through hell and back. That moment felt right.

Yeah I had to grab a roll of toilet paper and blow the old nose and wipe tears the whole time. lol. It really got me and I’m so grateful it finally happened. Love you coach. My great aunt was the biggest Pitino fan of all time and is buried holding her signed picture of him. He deserves it.
Coach Pope has brought back the excitement for Kentucky basketball and brought back Coach Pitino. Only thing left for him is another championship for the CATS.

I'm so glad this happened and Rick Pitino came back home. Lets celebrate the good times, all of the wonderful memories with Pitino here and more to come as Kentucky takes back their program. Coach Pope has tremendous respect for all of his accomplishments and that is good enough for me to have him back in the good graces of UK with everything Pitino has said about Pope since the hire.
That was amazing! So happy it finally happened! I’ve always loved Coach Pitino. His teams are what captivated me and made me a rabid UK fan. His teams were an absolute joy to watch. Thing of beauty!

I'm still not ready to accept him with open arms, but tonight was a good start. He was there at Pope's request I'm sure.
