Actually, we have no shot at them regardless. If Moore declares, perhaps we have a better chance of exiting College Station with an alleged quarterback in one piece and walking upright.

I was hoping that the article said "Manziel to CFL"... Though we would still have no shot....

TAMU is going to be one of the top teams in the sec consistently, it seems to me. money, talent pool, and a very good innovative coach. they will be a problem.

Strange, they weren't all that great until they joined the SEC, which a bunch of MS State people welcomed with open arms. Now they are a monster, and appear to be getting stronger.

It seems that way, but why haven't they done the same in the Big 12? Money isn't the issue, so let's not act like the SEC is going to vault them into elite status on its own. Tougher competition too.

No, I believe Texas A&M's fortunes this year were due to the best OL in the SEC and a number of defensive players that are about to go to the NFL. Oh, and a Heisman winning QB. But we're about to see how well he does without that line. May give us some insight into how Cam Newton would have done behind Auburn's patchwork OL in 2011.

time will tell, but if you remember bama had a drought pre saban and so did lsu. both had the resources. the big difference for tamu is sumlin. i think they've got the right guy. you are right about their team this yr but if you look at their recruiting right now it indicates they may be even better in the future. they've never been able to get the best tx talent before. we'll see.

I think this is correct ...

the big difference for tamu is sumlin

Time will obviously tell. Can he recruit at the elite level? Looks like he can so far. Hell, they've got 33 verballed for '13. Since ESPN is working overtime trying to hype up a black head coach, they ought to be looking at College Station and quit trying to suck the Stanford coach's dick (I'm looking at you, Herbfag). Everybody knows the SEC is the only conference that matters. Sumlin has the best shot to get to the BCSNCG and WIN IT.
