And, full disclosure; I think James Madison (the primary architect of the Constitution) was a POS, so I don't really have a dog in the fight.
Also, given what happened during his Presidency, it would be difficult to describe James Madison as a friend/admirer of the Native American tribes. To put MILDLY... (look into what his contemporary, William Henry Harrison did to them. )
