At some point, the center left and center right people in this country, the "sane 60 percent", are going to have to come together and take power back from the extreme factions of both parties.
Yeah, this is a popular mantra but given that it's seen as "normal" and "sane" to have a party devoted to a foreign country and let them dictate our foreign policy, I don't put a lot of stock into that terminology these days.

Above describes the right's neocon base. The modern Democrat Party is irredeemable though. They have moved so far left that the Republican Party's move closer toward the left is now considered 'far right.'

I'll tell you what is 'sane' which would hurt the pockets of the people who own and run this country...

-Nationalism
-National interest
-Isolationism and not needing to be involved in global conflicts
-Don't give ANY foreign aid while trillions in debt
-100% end to all globalism. Not a single foreigner should be brought in here for many years.
-America for Americans

Notice the McConnell/McCain neocon fan laughs at this. Just go take a nap so you're rested for your 4:30 dinner, old man.

I agree with this in principle, but i know very few center-left folks. Once they get over the center line to the left, it becomes a (ironically) a moral crusade, rather than a practical positioning for them. And i am a registered democrat...too lazy to go change it to independent. The wacko right is about 20-30% of the republicans. The wacko left is about 70% of the democrats, and the non-wackos are more beholden to the wackos on the left. And I still blame single, disappointed-with-their-choices-so-I-have-to-blame-someone-else white women who throw in with everything to whatever the latest kook movement is for the vast majority of the left-sided issues. They give political heft to the kookery.

LordEgg - I think you're probably right about all of that. I believe though, that once the repercussions of what they have voted for start actually impacting them, that suburban white women/mothers will shift right.

Or not.

Matt Jones seems thoroughly convinced that Barnhart is done after this year. Let's get Pitino in here LOL

Capilouto will probably hire Mitch McConnell LOL

I think him coming back would be akin to Napier at Florida, Pittman at Arkansas, among a number of others that have been canned mid-season. He would be a lame duck. I'm not sure what he sells to recruits. I appreciate all Stoops did for this program, I want the divorce to be amicable and hope one day we can bring him back and put his name in the ring of honor. Which is why I hope somebody out there takes a flyer on him. Even though we've had this little resurgence of sorts, This year hasn't really gone down much differently than a number of other frustrating seasons. At least two games lost because of coaching decisions, a total clunker against a South Carolina team that was very beatable. Typical year in and year out issues we see. How does that get corrected in year 14?
- For one thing, showing the meatiest football conference in the country that we want to shift NIL share to basketball ilmakes a hard sell to coaches and recruits. (Should have stayed at 75/15/5 like everyone else). Seriously, even if NIL turns out to be a team drama issue and mistake, we're still signaling what our preference is.

- Football needs equal use of the private jet used for basketball recruiting. Basketball should never outspend football.

I hope whoever the next AD is "gets it".

So say you.

Here is an example:

“With Ukraine asking U.S. and European allies for long-range missiles to help turn the tide in the war, Putin also warned that Moscow's response to strikes deep into Russia would be ‘very serious, if not overwhelming’.”
He is bluffing about escalation - meaning to me using weapons he wasn't already using to take all of Ukraine such as nukes. He's plowing along to take the Ukraine territory he said he would. .

This little nugget emerged from Ken Burns’ latest series. It’s important that, at every turn, you educate yourself about the degree to which the neo-Marxists have attempted to re-write history, so that you can shoot down nonsense when you hear and see it.

Ummm, The Iriquois didn't even have a written language. LOL

That is absolute nonsense. My word... :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

To paraphrase Benjamin Franklin, "Even these illiterate savages managed to create a crude form of representative republic governance, so surely WE can do likewise." If that counts as the primary basis for our Constitution then so be it.

"President Trump says he has signed a bill ordering the release of every single Jeffrey Epstein document the U.S. government holds. The bill gives Attorney General Pam Bondi the power to withhold or redact anything that could threaten national security or disrupt an active investigation."

I take this to mean, since she works for Trump, that Trump can override anything she withholds or redacts.

"We will eat your shawarma in Somalia, OK?" "They are looking to destroy everything that makes America great." "We have been taken over without a single shot fired! You will never eat like us, build buildings like us." "We know your laws in your book about lying to our faces. Pretending to be Americans, wearing your suits - but that doesn't happen anywhere else you guys are in charge." "There are 53 Muslim-majority countries. In all of them, it is tyranny, destruction, sh*thole living. We have to call it what it is!" "America first, America only...Jesus is King."

Ok, what is H1B visa "chain migration"? Those don't grant permanent residency.

Well, we know Pope isn't stupid, so it's safe to assume that he is self aware enough to evaluate his mistakes and learn from them.
Yeah, he doesn't seem to be one to make lame excuses, and obviously he isn't going to air all the dirty laundry going on in the locker room. I know the fans get their shorts all in a wad when he comes out and says something vague like he did after the Louisville game. I think everybody expects him to come out saying "Yeah We had a fist fight in the locker room" before the game. But Pope just seems to me like the type that if he is failing he will own it, just as he did in the presser after the Michigan State game.

I don't know which side you're taking or the tweet is. I read & heard that the Six Nations were an inspiration, a source for the Constitution, not the framework. If so, what's wrong with that?

He's a provoceteur.

This guy organized a "White Lives Matter" protest after Charlie Kirk's death.

What’s wrong is that it’s taught as a fact when there’s practically no proof that it inspired the men who drafted the Constitution or served as a model for it.

I believe they have some of those things already, I think Stoops demanded some of that lang ago. And as far as the NIL/revenue sharing dollars, I think that will be a year to year thing. I think it was a response this year to trying to build this mega-roster to chase number nine, which seems to this point to have backfired somewhat, but I think there will also be years where football gets the bulk. It has to.
