1. What exactly is a politician supposed to do about this? Forbid companies from using AI or automation?

2. Doesn’t your post seem completely hysterical?

3. Isn’t this similar to people freaking about computers taking over human jobs 30 years ago?

4. Do you genuinely believe “there will barely be any jobs for humans” in 10 years??

1) no but there should be a percentage cap.

2) no. I work in corporate America and see not only what is happening but what is in the works for the future.

3) no. See #2.

4) yes. There will be self driving vehicles, automated warehouse and assembly lines, ai will perform basically all coding accounting and data entry. Only jobs surviving are heavy analysis and very fine motor skills.

Damn... FrontRunner was TWELVE when I started working for FCPS... LOL

Did you live/attend school in Lexington? Which school if so?

And I was at that game. IU had a white RB (Alex Smith?) that ran all over us. IIRC

Bill Mallory, the IU head coach hated Kentucky. I can't remember why, but it was some sort of a grudge that started in the 80's or maybe it had something to do with Bill Curry. and he held onto that.

To make it worse, I took a friend/guy that I worked with, that graduated from IU. **** him. LOL (j/k we're still friends to this day. His son, Carter played basketball at North Florida, and got to play against Kentucky at Rupp a few years back when UNF was on the early season schedule)
That kid was one of North Florida's best players.

Let’s dig in. Is it possible the best at the top of the B1G are better than the best at the top of the SEC, but the overall team talent in the SEC is better than the B1G?
Ok, so lets base this comparison on teams history, tradition etc. Not necessarily based on the current states of the respective programs but more historically
Just my observation based off of that.

Bama = Michigan
Texas = OSU
Oklahoma = USC
UGA = Penn St.
UT = Nebraska
Texas A&M = Washington
Florida = Oregon
Auburn = Wisconsin
Arkansas = Minnesota
Ole Miss = Maryland
Missouri = Iowa
South Carolina = UCLA
LSU = Michigan St.
MSU = Illinois
Vandy = IU/Northwestern
Kentucky = Rutgers/Purdue

Thoughts?

I think you did a good job. I think that’s perfectly compared, actually.

I can laugh about it now, but I endured one of my most embarrassing moments as a UK FB fan during that 94 UK-Florida game. That game was played close to my birthday, and my wife organized a birthday party around the FB game at our apartment. Of course I’m the only one wearing UK gear (living in Louisiana at the time), and this back before there was all the widespread TV coverage of CFB games.

Anyway, by mid second quarter the game was already out of reach. I believe we changed the channel / turned it off halftime. Thankfully my friends didn’t razz me too bad but that was the first and last time I organized a UK FB watch party comprised of mostly non-UK fans.
🤣

That’s a great story. A traumatic story, but also great.

Now that you mention it ... me too. I think I broke a knuckle or two trying to crack them ...
There will be no fighting on here unless sanctioned by me and officiated by me. Unless of course you need to inflate the lips of a liberal or an independent who votes and post like a liberal. In that case, get punch drunk and swing away.

"September’s monthly surplus of $198 billion was the largest surplus of any September on record and 147% higher than last year."

"FY 2025’s deficit to GDP is now projected to be under 6%. And with continued fiscal restraint, we can reach 3% by 2028," Bessent said

OK, how do we take in $200B excess to expenditures & only shrink deficit $41B?

That kid was one of North Florida's best players.

It's pretty funny. His Dad played some college ball (Vincennes) and was pretty good. IOW - you go anywhere, and join a pickup game etc., he's the guy you notice/get it right away that he's different level etc.

When Carter was growing up, my buddy didn't take it easy on him at ALL. We're not talking The Great Santini, but close LOL.

My friend got another job in Frankfort and so we didn't hang out much. When Carter was around 12 or 13 I happened to be in Frankfort and went to lunch with his Dad. I just asked him if he was still taking the kid to the rack etc.

My friend said, "That ship sailed about a year ago LOL. He absolutely wears me out now." "So, I got him into golf, because I can still whip his *** at that." :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

That didn't last long either. He says Carter is a legit 280 "carry" off the tee box. My friend is a 4 handicap (or used to be) so to beat him is pretty difficult.

They're a super nice family and they did a great job raising their son, who, BTW is an assistant coach now with UNF.

I mean you very well might be right, but just me thinking about it for 5 seconds I don’t see AI replacing health care jobs, most trades, sales, managerial positions, food services etc. I did a quick google search and saw that makes up 55% of the workforce. In my specific company of 30 people I can think of maybe 2 that could potentially be replaced by AI and those are low level employees with minimal training. I mean I guess 20% of the workforce can be replaced? I mean saying humans won’t have jobs in 10 years is such an over the top doomsday preposterous thing to say it’s like you were saying it for dramatic effect? I mean when you actually start deep dive thinking about it there is no way that’s anywhere close to true.

Gotta warn ya, I am well versed in applying "take it easy on me, I'm an old man" and then unleashing a quit strike with the hopes that my sneakiness will end it quickly. Otherwise, I peter out rather fast, or so my wife tells me.
