That is the central point about Stoops. It's always the same story: An accumulation of small f***ups, that add up over a game. It's the most CONSISTENT thing ABOUT his coaching.
Overall. First i was surprised that UK came out of the bye week ready to play. And I liked the game plan. Reminded me a lot of the LSU game with Woodson and Johnson. 12 players made catches. TWELVE. I liked that too.
Unfortunately, running game looked better than it was, esp when McGowan was out. Which he was in OT.
Defense was phenomenal. Completely shut down UT. I was worried Texas would make half-time adjustments, but UK held UT to FOUR 3 and outs. The only other two drives were FGs. The defense was ready.
Now, UT was flat. and at the end of the day ... it is a loss.

I totally get the frustration...but this doesn't fly with me because there are other schools who are finding ways to do it. I mean hell...look at Vandy and IU. They both might have worse football histories than UK does and look at them today.
I didn't expect much from this team but a win against Texas would have semi-salvaged the season. Maybe they can squeak out another 2 or 3 wins. Unlikely.

I agree but what I guess I really meant is that the UK administration doesn't seem to want the problem fixed long term.

So apparently, according to the KSR post game show, Mitch Barnhart took it upon himself to get into a pi$$ing contest with a UK fan that was expressing his dissatisfaction with UK football coaching. And then, heading off after the first half ended, re-engaged/trash talked that fan. They say it' was caught on TV.
Mitch, considering the mess you've made, you'd do well to just keep your c0ck holster/mouth shut. These fans have every right to complain about the ROI that you've given them. And to act like it's out of bounds, and to have the audacity to call them out/show your *** like that is just WEIRD.. Kick rocks, you stupid, thick headed POS.

Defense played very well; however, Texas scores more points if Manning is the QB the hype promotes. He missed open WRs, even when he had time. He is no Heisman candidate, at least not this year.

Ha Ha, I hear ya. Kalani Sitake is a solid coach, but even better fit at BYU. He'll have a down season roughly ever 3 or 4 years. Back a few years ago he went 5-0 agaist PAC-12 while playing Mountain West Conference. His NIL budget is probably much more than UK football.

Agree. About three weeks ago i posted on the football board he should be our #1 target. Already achieved big things in the sec with similar nil and worse facilities and worse fan support.
