The Wolverine travel to Owen Friday night. What everyone’s thoughts on this game ? I’m expecting a good game but the wolverines will be too much. Last week I was thinking Mitchell would be a good game but they just blew them out. Is Owen that bad or is Mitchell just that darn good ?

Owen has some good athletes, some tall receivers who also play good D in the secondary. A 6'3" QB who has a good arm but not a lot of control , he threw better in the second half but kind of just threw it up for grabs serval times. But they didn't seem well coached at least for that game and undisciplined, down 28-0 on thier one TD the runner got called for taunting so on kick-off gave Mitchell a short field and Mitchell scored quick then I don't know what he did but an Owen player got ejected in the 4th.
Not a very good line and seemed as a whole looked slow compared to Mitchell.
So I believe Polk will be able to run on them as well, plus unless Owen's line can give the QB more time and he's more accurate then last week it will probably be another long night for Owen with about the same results.

On film Owen looks to have a hard time tackling and a lot of guys standing around watching others.
Yeah serval times it looked like they had Pittman dead to rights in the back field as much as 10 yards and he would make a move and for you know it he'd have a first down or even score. Of course part of that is he's really good but they did have poor tackling and just looked slow.
If Polk is half the team everyone is thinking they are ( which I think they are) they win this one big. Im going to say Polk 42 Owen 10. Owen has the talent to be good but from my stand point they haven't put it together as a team yet. If they get it together they could be a really good team
Kenny Ford would've had this bunch 4-2 right now, at least. I think its time they move on from Padgett. He had his chance, blew a good opportunity with good talent this year.
defense is a well oiled machine nasty and preying on anyone close , offense is run away bulldozer with about 3 passes a game just for good measure !!!
What happened after 2014 to Owen. I know when they had J. Gardner they had a good team but after that they really fell off. Why ?

Long time coach Kenny Ford knew that there would be a sharp decline in talent in 2015. He chose to retire on top, instead of squeezing a few more years in.
Polk fans if you had picked in favor of Heritage, karma would have gotten you the win at Owen. Now you just made those Cougars mad!!!! You will get to see the real defense in a few weeks. Good luck to all the WHC next week. We have to get ready for Owen coming off a big win.
You know we played flat AF last night and when things started going right and we got some momentum something stupid would kill it. But this loss hurt the fellas hearts !!! And maybe that’s what was needed to keep them focused the rest of the year. Sometimes a loss can help everyone from players to coaches. GO WOLVERINES!!!!!!!

Owen is very talented and big , they are very thuggey and classless there fans are no better and there coaches don't do anything about it so I assume they condone it and that to a flat team that just got the kickoff run back on them and the worst officials I've ever seen and you get last night
