I don't follow the recruiting that closely. I don't know what offers are out there, to whom, or who is visiting when and that sort of thing. There are however a group of people on this board with an agenda. They are going to pump sunshine up everyone's butt about every thing they can Mike Riley related. They are the same type of people who exclaim how awesome Nebraska is doing and act like Mike can do no wrong.
Clearly we all saw the games last year, what happened, and while most people will take a wait and see approach to how they do this year, there is a group hell bent on convincing everyone how great this staff is and so on. I don't know if you are part of that group or not, but you clearly 'like' the types of things those guys post.
You have to remember that for many, criticizing anyone on this staff is an immediate red flag, and this group will start in with their agenda, marginalizing, bullying, and name calling people. Those that have anything negative to say are immediately labelled as Bo apologists and called names. The only reason I can think of as to why they have this agenda, is they somehow think they can build unity this way.
The main reason I post those these things about the recruiting ranking is that in some small way, I know the administration is watching. I think it is a good thing to keep the pressure on them. To hold their feet to the fire. They need to be reminded when the class ranking starts slipping, and there is nothing wrong with that at all.
Whether it helps or not, I don't know, but it was good to see a commitment later in the day. Often things that are discussed on this board, end up in the newspaper and then end up as larger topics, so what is said here does matter in some small way. For those of you who want to defend the staff at every turn, that is your prerogative, but pretending everything is awesome and putting down others who have legitimate gripes or concerns is not how you build unity among the fan base.
