Well, call me crazy. I root for the Huskers because I am from Nebraska-not because of how much they win or lose. I guess that's so old fashioned these days. It's all about bandwagoning with whomever is winning.
For you to even make that statement, shows a total lack of loyalty to the program and everything it stands for. If you would even think of rooting for someone else, then go now. Why wait? It's all about winning to you-no loyalty to anything else.
Over the years, I've had a lot of pride for being from Nebraska. I take pride in the football team, really all things Nebraska. A national media outlet just the other day put out a story on our
sellout streak being in jeopardy. It makes me sad to think about that.
Maybe the "ultimate fan" doesn't care about winning and losing. I care. I won't be content with losing seasons. There is so much time, money, emotions invested, the football program means a lot to a lot of people. I just hate to think that everything put into this program has been flushed down the toilet. We haven't won a conference championship this century. I can visualize a day when people quit caring about NU football.
You could question me and others, I really do hope Riley can put it together. Most recently, I think it was NikkiSix saying how topics on here show up through the media. Whether it's coincidence or the media farming social outlets, I don't know, but it does happen. I'll continue to voice my concerns.
