It’s truly unwatchable. I turned it on mid way thru first half and they’ve only scored five points. Just horrible preparation
they have no plan on offense
They can’t shoot free throws
They are horrible on defense. Always bunched up.
I don’t blame the players. It looks like they don’t practice

The fact that this team is so fundamentally lacking on basic concepts is concerning, they’re out hustling us and just playing harder.
This offense also is not conducive to these guys strengths, waiting for Lowe to create for everyone is not going to win road sec games. There’s zero movement off the ball or screens away & not a single screen for a big on the block. Why are we questioning these things again this year? That’s my concern.

I blame the players much more than the coach. Players are terrible.

Agree. But you said “their offense”. Do they even have an offense. What is it except dribble the perimeter and take a bad shot or make a bad pass. There is no discernible scheme.
How he recruited them
This is on Pope. When your team has sucked all season long, that's the Coach. Unbelievable this team looks this terrible still in January and after over a week and a half off. I get the injuries but this team isn't even competitive at all. Only a new Coach can give even the tiniest bit of hope for next season. Plus, injuries are a terrible excuse when your team has looked like world beaters against every cupcake on the schedule. This is embarrassing.
Just wait until we get all of our players back. We are going to be something special. BBN is going to be proud!!!
What do you mean time for change lol. Kentucky gave Barney our athletics programs and Kentuckians have been brainwashed into thinking this charlatan is some kind of morally superior. Well he’s a loser who has run our sports programs to the ground for 25 years. A quarter century.

Who assembled these players? You can not go to the store, buy the ingredients for a cake, go home and bake it, and then when it sucks, claim that you are a great chef but the ingredients suck! No you suck as a chef. A good coach puts players in a position to succeed.

Need to start sending out feelers to T. J. Otzelberger. I think he's a coach that's possible for us to get.
And sadly, we’ll have to endure this for at least year three. Maybe longer. We might even be worse next year.

Whatever Pope/JMI paid for this roster is definitely not getting a ROI.
Wasn't a fan of his hire, but love the guy and have been rooting hard for him to succeed.

Aberdeen has sucked and had a ****** up demeanor all season.
This performance is also after 11 days of him and his staff having only Alabama to prepare for and focus on
I criticized him last year and early this year. Took a break from it to try and take an outside perspective.. Tremendous guy and human being, but I want him gone. I cant watch this product

I realize how bad it is when I’m more interested in the forum than the game. Kentucky basketball is at a sad state right now. I want this to be over.
I think he’s got next year to try and figure it out. This offseason will be extremely important in getting players to run his system. It’s not the losses it’s the absolute blowouts - that’s just not gonna last here.

Pope isn't gonna have a 9 and 16 level bad season (hes not making 4 final fours either) but he isn't a good fit so far. Due to the Stoops fiasco sure we are stuck with Pope for year 3.
Hopefully we don't have Stoops patience again. You can't sit and watch mediocrity in today's college sports. Look at the number of schools that made changes in football and passed up Stoops in just a few years, while we sit and hoped it would somehow get better.
