So weddington and tabor are on a collision course, and Crest, Kings Mountain and ACR are going to have to find a way to stop Catholic...should be interesting.

North Henderson is NOT a good football team and my guess is they'll lose to Asheville and the Cougars will get the 2nd spot out of the WMAC.

The teams the Knights have beaten have a combined record of 4-20. They've lost to anyone with a pulse.

Asheville will not be the #2 out of the WMAC, TC Roberson has that locked up as they have only 1 conference loss and has finished their conference play. No way for any team below them to even catch them. The third spot in conference is still up for grabs between Erwin, Asheville, and NH and Asheville and Erwin ply tonight (Monday) which will go a long way in determining that third spot.

TCR is 4A. If Asheville beats North, they would lock in the 2nd 3A seed out of the WMAC.

Edit to add, I did not know the Erwin game was being made up. Either way, I don't see North getting the 2nd 3A seed.

TCR is 3A just like ACR, and Asheville. They all go 4A come fall. The WMAC isn’t a split conference until the fall, everyone in the spring is considered 3A just like the last 4 years.

So yes you are correct NH won’t be the 2 seed because TCR is no matter what happens this week.

I could have sworn TCR has been 4A since the last realignment. Damn, I’ve been in a cave.

That’s even greater evidence of NH being left out.

Asheville head coach cut his teeth at one of the states perennial powers. Those Cougars will be back in the Top 10 soon.

I’m sure I could get some arguments here but I could make a good case that Asheville is the best team in the mountains this year. But we are gonna end up getting a real low playoff seed unfortunately. We are our own worst enemy sometimes, but that happens to young teams. Happy to have radford

I hope he reaches out to Crest when things get back to normal and gets TCR off the damn schedule.

Asheville will be the #3 in WMAC. That D is going to make a higher seed sweat come playoffs.

Coach Radford is a heck of a young coach. He has Asheville headed in the right direction, and what he did at Chase is nothing short of remarkable. And he did a great job with the Crest D before that.

Late in the fourth quarter of our first game against Roberson we had 7 lost turnovers and were down 27-25. I kind of figured at that point we wouldn’t be too bad. I can’t imagine we will get a very good playoff seed though this year with the shortened season and all

You will be between the 2’s and the wild cards. Since only 8 team in East and West (16 total), I’m guessing you get a 8 seed in west because based on info provided above I believe ALL the 3A teams above are conference champs or second place teams in their conference. I don’t see any wild cards in the 3A west. I may be wrong and if so please someone correct me but those 3A team (not 3AA teams) are all 1’s and 2’s in their conferences with the exception of Asheville. Asheville will be a tough out for anyone. Is your QB due back soon?

I believe so, but the backup was just 13 of 16 for 247 yards and a touchdown and he had a terrible drop on a bomb too so who knows what they will do. Our starting qb is going to be a star but he’s only a sophomore so I feel like they’re really conservative with him. I’m afraid we will get a weddington or catholic or something lol

The winner of the Catholic/Marvin Ridge game will be a 2. The other gets a WC or could be out all together. I would say Catholic wins but they did just struggle with Cuthbertson. Gonna be an interesting final week.
