Got to be a down year on the west side. If our starting QB of 3 years played last week, we would have won. But hey, the ball is bouncing their way this year and they're making the best of it. Good luck to Salisbury in the ship.
A lot of teams look down this year due to covid and lack of practice. Also, ND always wet their pants in the playoffs against good teams.
That being said, the Hornets are a legit good team that plays old school dominating defense with a good kicking game. Doesn't look pretty but it wins. Shelby was just on a whole new level last year, just like how Reidsville is this year.

Of interest --- the NCHAA's two largest non-boarding parochial schools are in the state finals.
I think they would have beaten shelby ......reidsville would have had a definite speed advantage when most years it would be a toss up.....
Love these kids... They just refuse to give up!!! In over their heads against that Golden Lion defense last year but I'll say it for you. Good luck Hornets against st. Paul's Thursday in the state championship game. I hope your offensive output makes everyone happy!
The game at Dietz field in Hendersonville tonight was a classic. I have seen a lot of games over the years, but this one was a flat out battle. Glad my Cougars came out on top. Hats off to an extremely talented Hendersonville Team. Tough task coming up with Reidsville, but that’s why they put the pads on. Hope to get to watch a replay of the Salisbury/ND game. Sounds like it was a great game to watch.
