Powhatan To The Dominion In 2019?

Looks as though Powhatan might be returning to the Dominion District where they played from 1980-1985.

In the latest District Alignment plan posted to the VHSL for 2019-2020 thru 2022-23 they show Powhatan playing in Class 4 but now in the Dominion which would make that district ten teams strong.

That would be my guess unless they do like the Colonial District which allows you to drop some district opponents as we have seen several schools do with TJ.

The way I understand it, the VHSL requires that you play fellow district opponents. But you can opt out if there is MORE than a two Class spread. So currently, do all existing Colonial members play each other?
I guess there may be an avenue if two teams agree not to play each other, that the VHSL can be petitioned, and they can approve this?
