Pray for our friends in Eastern NC (Hurricane Florence)

I know most games near the coast will be disrupted. But the most important thing is to pray for the people out there. If the hurricane forecast come true this could be the worst storm in NC history with tremendous loss of life and property.

I have lived in NENC all my life with the exception of when I was in college and the thing that worries me the most is that normally all of the forecast models are spread out all over every where but the forecast models for this storm are 99% showing it hitting the NC coast.

UNC Wilmington has already issued a voluntary evacuation and canceled classes after 12 for tomorrow. Hope people start preparing now. This could be another Floyd or Matthew like event.

I actually live in this area now working for the government. It’s going to be a long week here preparing for this. This makes me miss my mountains haha.

Looking at the track of this storm on the weather channel, it is taking a path that NO Hurricane has ever taken before, and the worst part is that it is going to be moving at a snail's pace which means flooding and wind damage well inland.....I remember Hurricane Hugo, and this storm has the potential to do a lot more damage than Hugo did because it is going to be moving more slowly when it hits, and that's bad....Real bad!....My message to folks on the coast is get out of there while you still can if you have the opportunity to do so because this storm is likely going to be unlike any that you've ever seen before...

As new models run this morning some are predicting the storm making landfall a little further south. Portions of central and WNC getting 12-40" of rain. Could be record flooding as well as massive wind damage. EVERONE statewide needs to keep their heads up on this rascal. Still too far out to be sure.
