even businessmen. Donald trump has what, four bankruptcies? He's just lucky people kept,giving him money. Extremely wealthy families lose fortunes. I've known a heart surgeon who ended up losing everything, because he spent like a heart surgeon. He had nothing in savings, and lost more than he had on margin in the market.
you give people who grew up with nothing a lot of money for 6-7 years, don't be surprised when they spend it all.

I just don't have sympathy for these guys. Sure your body takes a beating, but you're paid a league MINIMUM of, depending on what sport, half a mil a year.
Welders, firemen, and construction workers, among almost any non-desk oriented job, take huge beatings on their knees, shoulders, head injuries, and what not but don't get paid what they do. A lot of pro athletes wouldn't have gone to college if it weren't for sports and a lot of them don't have college degrees, so in a sense their bodies would be taking a hit just like them anyway.

First, I'm pretty sure the league minimum for all 4 major sports is below $500,000 per year. After Uncle Sam and the agent gets a cut, the player may take him $275,000. That's not that much money.
