about athletes who blow through their money. Directed by Billy Corben (did The U one as well). Should be a great watch.

I don't get the surprise. It happens to musicians, actors, lottery winners, and

even businessmen. Donald trump has what, four bankruptcies? He's just lucky people kept, giving him money. Extremely wealthy families lose fortunes. I've known a heart surgeon who ended up losing everything, because he spent like a heart surgeon. He had nothing in savings, and lost more than he had on margin in the market.

you give people who grew up with nothing a lot of money for 6-7 years, don't be surprised when they spend it all.

I just don't have sympathy for these guys. Sure your body takes a beating, but you're paid a league MINIMUM of, depending on what sport, half a mil a year.

Welders, firemen, and construction workers, among almost any non-desk oriented job, take huge beatings on their knees, shoulders, head injuries, and what not but don't get paid what they do. A lot of pro athletes wouldn't have gone to college if it weren't for sports and a lot of them don't have college degrees, so in a sense their bodies would be taking a hit just like them anyway.

No sympathy. They don't get paid what they do so they can buy Hummers, they get paid what they do because they retire early.

First, I'm pretty sure the league minimum for all 4 major sports is below $500,000 per year. After Uncle Sam and the agent gets a cut, the player may take him $275,000. That's not that much money.
