Boosters = old people. Old people = people who went to MSU when MSU really, really sucked. People who went to MSU when we sucked = happy with Dan Mullen's success. Happy with Dan Mullen = not fired.

We're stuck with these 17ers.

Why do big name boosters have to be the ones to make changes? Season ticket holders could make the biggest statement by not goin to games. I go to every home game don't get me wrong but if we got to the point where we wanted a serious change, boycotting games would make a bigger statement than a booster IMO.

Come on Crazy, don't you know not going to games makes you a horrible fan? Realistically the majority of people on this board will go to games if we were expected to go 0-12 so I don't think a coach will ever get fired entirely from ticket sales. Donations put the squeeze on the athletic department to do their job.

Because they cut the big checks. I know a few big name donors fed up with Mullen. Change could be more likely than many here realize.

If the product on the field isn't enough for the athletic department to do their job, then we need a new athletic department . This is a total embarrassment to football.

I promise you, that is the last thing you want to happen. Boosters who call the shots are more interested in keeping their ability to call the shots than the performance of the teams.

I agree w/Philly. This is the WORST scenario that Cigar Boys call the shots. Whether its getting a coach fired or keeping a pathetic coach (Stans) it puts your AD in a horrible situation.

My comment re: hyperbole was a response to your comment re: "total embarrassment to football."

You don't think the play calling and adjustments by our coaching staff weren't an embarrassment to football ?

What most don't seem to realize, we have precious few "big boosters"

What's the definition of "big booster"?

We have less than 10,000 Bulldog Club members, and the Bulldog Club has been around for about 40 years...40 17n years!!! With only a modest annual contribution, you can be in the upper half of all lifetime donors in less than 3 years. Heck, at that rate, any contributor might qualify as a big booster.

I doubt there is a single "big booster" who reads and/or posts here, Jean's Page, or any other MSU football forum. They're too busy out making money and don't really care to participate in sophomoric rhetoric.

You are wrong about this. I personally know a very big booster that has a genes page account
