You are onto something here, his strengths are significant, and unfortunately, so are his weaknesses.
I'd prefer young men playing competitive, winning football with a clean academic/off-the-field record over loving their coach.
I think you'd have a very difficult time finding any team out there where the players would openly say they don't have a strong bond with their coach, or that they don't think he's a great guy, or that they don't love him.
That doesn't in any way mean the guy who's their coach is qualified or competent to perform at a high level and put a consistently competitive team out on the field.
KF is getting well paid to be a D1 college coach, not win a popularity contest. -And if he gets fired, the next coach that RU hires will have the kids he recruits saying the same things about him.
