This is actually an interesting study - I've posted it below if you had any interest in reading it.
The 8 questions asked are below, and they were asked to respond on a 1-5 scale from strongly disagree to strongly agree. Seems like Dems were more resolute in their choices (choosing more of the strongly agree/disagree options) whereas Republicans tended to only tick the "mostly" boxes.
Item 1) Abortion should be illegal.
Item 2) The government should take steps to make incomes more equal.
Item 3) All unauthorized immigrants should be sent back to their home country.
Item 4) The federal budget for welfare programs should be increased.
Item 5) Lesbian, gay and trans couples should be allowed to legally marry.
Item 6) The government should regulate business to protect the environment.
Item 7) The federal government should make it more difficult to buy a gun.
Item 8) The federal government should make a concerted effort to improve social and economic conditions for African Americans.
It's a very interesting study that goes into the thought processes of your typical R and D voter. Thanks for sharing this
I didn't say it was just a MAGA thing. I said it's more common with the MAGA posters. In fact, I even said in the post you quoted that i don't doubt it has happened.
Also, if you had to go back to 2025 to find an instance, that's not a good sign.

Also, vulgarity is subjective - I don't really see anything that was said to Amy that hasn't been said ad nauseum to others on this forum during a heated argument.

This happens on this board daily, most often from the right. Y'all are upset bc it was directed at a woman. Again, I understand that. But the selective outrage is a little much.

Well, for one thing, my wife would never be on an anonymous message board insulting people. She is pretty unimpressed that I spend any of my own time doing it.
Secondly, if she changed her mind and decided to join an anonymous message board where people constantly attack each other, and she started attacking others, I would tell her to stop if she did not like what people were saying to her. If she told me she wanted to sue anonymous message board posters for libel, I would laugh and tell her to take some meds.
I have been on this board for a long time, this is a pattern for amynhop.
1. She insults people.
2. People insult her back.
3. She loses her **** and cries about being a woman, asks Ard to ban people, but continues to insult people.
4. A bunch of white knights like yourself rush to her aid.
5. More insults are shared, by her and the white knights.
This even happened once when someone posted a thread titled, "post your photo so people can roast you." She did it, then lost her **** when people started roasting her.
Rinse and repeat.
Like I told you yesterday. I return the treatment I am given. And we could all take a step back and pump the brakes on some of the name calling. I don’t think talking to women like that is productive or right. And if you dislike Trump as much as you claim, I think you’d agree with me. Regardless I was simply pointing out the seeming contradiction here. We can agree to disagree.
I’m unaware of any of that. Don’t know that to be true but also don’t know that to be inaccurate. It’s unfortunate. I was raised to treat women more genteel and kind, not saying it’s right, I just wouldn’t talk to a woman that way no matter what. Just like I would never hit a woman no matter what, aside from trying to protect my life or my family.
These are the rules listed by On3 message board. No different than Rivals but nothing is ever enforced. Much like the NCAA and tampering. It’s not asking too much to disagree respectfully. Any man who addresses anyone, much less a woman, with that kind of vulgarity has a problem. Enough is enough. This ain’t the Wild Wild West. There has to be some type of governance.

My dislike of Trump is a relatively new experience - as in the last 8-10 months. Prior to that I had no real issue with him beyond his crassness, hyperbolic speaking, and sexual misconduct claims. If his current term was anything like term 1 I'd not really have any issues at all.
Agreed with taking a step back and cooling down. I don't think talking to anyone like that - be it woman or man - is productive or right, but I understand your stance.
I can also believe this, this is similar to my experience in here. I posted my thoughts, got called horrible names and started giving it back. But nothing like this. I didn’t actively seek out or start **** talking anyone on here. I was really just curious to see what people thought. Then I apparently became a nazi.
Honest question: if it is so horrible, then why do you not ignore the posters you don't like? Or even post in these threads in general? Said another way, why is the right answer changing it the way you want vs just extricating yourself from the undesirable situation?

There’s some nasty people out there. When that dude literally typed out that he hoped my wife and children die in a house fire that was a little surprising. He still may be around. It was @DW4_2016. Seemed extreme considering that was because of ideological differences that are probably minimal. Hurt people hurt people I guess.
It's mainly due to the gaggle of morons he hired into his cabinet vs in his first term. You've got podcasters in charge of the FBI, an unimpressive AG, Halligan at the DOJ, etc. I don't like the way he's seemingly pardoning anyone who donates money to him, I don't like the crypto **** that is CLEARLY shady at best and corrupt at worst, and I don't like the way we're rolling out federal troops into cities. I support removing criminal illegal immigrants, but I think we can do it in a way that doesn't violate the constitution or treats people like subhumans.

I think this is accurate, as well. Especially, if you look at some of the articles involving John Kelly where Trump would tell xyz to do something, and when they'd go off Kelly would stop them from doing it because Kelly thought it would be bad and Trump would forget. The problem now is he's hired nothing but sycophants who will do everything he says, so you end up with no real guard rails in place on an aging president who has a LOT of grievances against the establishment.
